LINDY 25039 — 10G LR SFP+ Module, 10 km
10 Gbps10GBASE-LR/LWSingle-mode 10 kmMSA
The LINDY 25039 is a 10GBASE-LR/LW SFP+ transceiver for single-mode fibre, reaching up to 10 km at 1310 nm over an LC duplex connection. It is MSA compliant and hot-pluggable, and Lindy lists it for common switches and extenders from Cisco, HP, Dell, Ubiquiti, D-Link, Zyxel, NETGEAR, Arista and Juniper, and for server boards with SFP+ slots. In practice, single-mode optics are the choice when a link leaves the building or runs several hundred metres: the OS2 fibre used by carriers and campus backbones carries the signal for kilometres with little loss. Before you order, confirm the fibre is single-mode at both ends and note the length and the number of patch panels on the way.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Lindy states that this module supports only 10 Gigabit — 1 Gigabit and Fast Ethernet are not supported, so it will not link to a 1G module or run in a 1G-only SFP port. It needs single-mode fibre with a duplex LC cord. It carries no vendor coding, so switches that lock out third-party optics may refuse it. Keep the dust cap on until you connect the fibre, and clean both connector ends before every mating — dirt is the most common cause of a link that will not come up. Not sure? Send us your device model and the cable run and we check it before you order.
Best For
✓ 10G links between buildings
✓ Switch uplinks up to 10 km
✓ Lindy extenders with SFP+ slots
✓ Supermicro, ASUS and GIGABYTE boards
✓ MSA-compatible switches
✓ Replacing a failed LR module
Key Features
10G up to 10 km
A standard 1310 nm LR module that carries 10 Gbps over single-mode fibre up to 10 km, drawing 1 W.
Single-mode fibre, long reach
Built for single-mode (OS1/OS2) fibre, the type used between buildings, floors and sites. It will not run over the orange or aqua multimode fibre found in many racks — the fibre type has to match at both ends.
Hot-swappable
Modules plug into a live port without shutting the switch down, so a link can be added or replaced during working hours. Seat it until it clicks and use the latch to remove it.
Plan both ends together
A link only comes up when both ends use the same standard, speed and media. Order the far-end module, the cable and any spares in one go and the link works on day one.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it run at 1 Gbps?
No. Lindy states the module supports only 10 Gigabit; 1 Gigabit and Fast Ethernet are not supported.
Which devices does Lindy list?
Common systems from Cisco, HP, Dell, Ubiquiti, D-Link, Zyxel, NETGEAR, Arista and Juniper, and server boards with SFP+ slots such as Supermicro, ASUS, GIGABYTE and ASRock.
Are fibre patch cords included?
No. You get the SFP+ module and a Lindy manual. The patch cord for the LC duplex connector, a matching module for the far end of the link and a fibre cleaning tool are bought separately. Tell us the distance and the fibre type and we quote the right cord.
Will it work in a switch from another brand?
Lindy builds it to the MSA standard for common network systems, without vendor-specific coding. Switches that lock out third-party optics may refuse it — send us the model and we check it.
Singular Expert Insight
We suggest the LINDY 25039 for 10G single-mode links where the switch accepts standard MSA optics, and for Lindy extenders with SFP+ slots. Order the far-end LR module with it; if the switch checks optics, choose a module coded for that brand. Every order is backed by Singular’s local support in Cyprus — if a link will not come up, send us the port status and we help you find out whether it is the module, the cable or the configuration. Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You need a 10G single-mode link up to 10 km on SFP+ ports that accept MSA optics.
Skip it if
You need 1G, your fibre is multimode, or your switch only accepts its own brand of optics.
