The Lindy 43159 is a four-port USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub on the end of a 10 m active cable: plug the USB-A end into the computer, run the cable across the room, and connect a camera, printer, interactive display or keyboard and mouse at full 5 Gbps ten metres away. The 5 V / 3.5 A power supply is in the box and powers the hub end, so the devices do not depend on power sent down ten metres of cable.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The cable is fixed to the hub — you cannot shorten it or swap it. The hub needs its power supply; Lindy specifies external power, so plan a mains socket at the far end. All device ports are USB-A. For longer runs Lindy’s manual allows up to four units in a chain to about 40 m, but the chain has to start with the 8 m (43158) or 15 m (43229) unit, not with this one. Lindy publishes no per-port current, no chipset and no OS list.
