The LogiLink UA0125 is a mains-powered desktop hub that turns one USB port into ten. It ships with its own 5 V / 3.5 A adapter and a USB cable, so the ports do not have to live on whatever current the computer’s own socket can spare, and a single on/off switch cuts the whole hub when you are done. Built-in over-current detection protects the host if a device misbehaves. The ports are USB 2.0 — the right tool for keyboards, mice, receivers, barcode scanners, licence dongles, chargers and test rigs, and the wrong one for fast storage.

Compatibility — check before buying:
These are USB 2.0 ports at up to 480 Mbps, shared across all ten — an external SSD or a modern flash drive will work but will run at a fraction of its speed. The switch is one master switch for the whole hub, not a switch per port, so it cuts power and data to everything at once. The hub needs its supplied adapter to run properly; it is not designed as a bus-powered travel hub. Will an external hard drive or SSD run at full speed on this hub?
No. Every port here is USB 2.0, which caps out at 480 Mbps and is shared across all ten ports. A modern SSD that would do 400 MB/s on a USB 3.0 port will manage roughly a twentieth of that here. Drives will mount and work — this is about speed, not compatibility — but if the point of the hub is storage, buy a USB 3.0 or 5 Gbps model instead and keep this one for peripherals.
Is there a switch for each port, or just one?
Just one. The UA0125 has a single master on/off switch that cuts the whole hub, which is what LogiLink publishes. If you need to power individual devices on and off independently, you want a hub with per-port switches — several models in our range have them, and we can point you at the right one.
Do I have to use the supplied power adapter?
