The LogiLink UA0309 connects to a USB-C laptop and gives back four USB 3.0 Type-A ports at up to 5 Gbps, so older keyboards, mice, sticks and drives keep working. Unlike most compact USB-C hubs it ships with a 5 V / 2 A external power adapter, which is what keeps bus-hungry devices stable. Part number UA0309 has an aluminium body of 112 × 37 × 18 mm in grey, weighs 70 g and needs no drivers on Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Android or Linux.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Host connector is USB-C on a captive cable — LogiLink does not publish its length. There is no Power Delivery, so the laptop is not charged through the hub and its USB-C port stays occupied. No video output, no Ethernet, no card reader. “Thunderbolt 3 compatible” in LogiLink’s copy means it plugs into a Thunderbolt port — it is not a Thunderbolt device.
