Logitech G G640 — Large Cloth Gaming Mouse Pad, Black
400 x 460 mmModerate resistanceBonded rubber base2-year term
The G640 is Logitech G’s standard large cloth mat and it is deliberately in the middle: a consistent surface texture with moderate resistance, which is Logitech’s own wording — not a slick speed mat, not a heavy brake. The texture is optimised for Logitech G mice and peak gaming performance, so tracking stays predictable across the whole surface rather than changing as you move away from the centre. It measures 400 x 460 mm, which is deeper than it is wide, and the rubber base is firmly bonded to the cloth rather than glued as a separate layer — that is what stops a large cloth mat bunching up in the middle of a fast movement. Black, no graphics, no lighting. Logitech covers its mouse pads with a 2-year limited hardware warranty.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Note the orientation: this mat is 400 mm wide and 460 mm deep, so it gives you more forward-and-back room than side-to-side. That suits players who move the mouse vertically as much as horizontally, and it is worth checking against your desk depth. Moderate resistance is the honest description — if you flick at high sensitivity and want the mouse to carry, a speed cloth suits you better; if you aim with your whole arm and need it to stop dead, a heavier control mat does. This is the sensible middle. Logitech publishes no thickness, no weight, no edge treatment and no washing instruction for the G640, and makes no water-resistance claim, so we quote none of those. There is no wrist rest and no lighting.
Best For
✓ Players who want one balanced surface for everything
✓ Desks with depth to spare in front of the monitor
✓ Logitech G mice, which the texture is tuned for
✓ Mixed work-and-play desks
✓ Optical and laser mice
✓ Anyone whose old mat has started to bunch
Key Features
Moderate resistance, on purpose
Logitech does not pretend this is a speed mat or a control mat. It is the balanced middle, which is what most players actually want.
Bonded, not glued
The rubber base is firmly bonded to the cloth, which is why the surface does not ruck up under the mouse during a fast sweep.
Consistent across the surface
The texture is uniform edge to edge, so tracking does not change as you move away from the centre of the mat.
Tuned for Logitech G sensors
Logitech states the surface texture is optimised for its own gaming mice, which is worth something if that is what you use.

Singular Expert Insight
The G640 is the mat you buy when you do not want a surface with opinions: consistent, moderate, and bonded so it stays flat. The bonded base is the part that matters over a year of use. See our mouse pads and wrist rests and our wired mice.
