Logitech G522 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset — Black

G5 Series flagship-feel wireless headset with 40 mm PRO-G drivers, BLUE VO!CE broadcast-quality mic and tri-mode connectivity — the successor to the popular G733.
Tri-Mode: LIGHTSPEED + BT 5.3 + USB-C 40 mm PRO-G drivers BLUE VO!CE 48 kHz mic Up to 90 hr battery 8-zone LIGHTSYNC RGB
The Logitech G522 LIGHTSPEED is the new mid-range flagship in the Logitech G5 Series, succeeding the G733. It combines synchronized 40 mm PRO-G biocellulose drivers tuned to 48 kHz/24-bit, a detachable BLUE VO!CE 48 kHz omnidirectional broadcast-quality boom mic, and tri-mode connectivity — LIGHTSPEED 2.4 GHz wireless (up to 30 m), Bluetooth 5.3, or USB-C wired. Eight LIGHTSYNC RGB zones (16.8 million colours) sit side-facing on the cups. At 290 g with a suspension headband and dual-layer memory-foam earcups, it's tuned for long sessions. Battery is rated up to 90 hours with RGB off, or about 40 hours with default lighting. Customise EQ, mic processing and lighting through G HUB or the Logitech G mobile app, with up to three onboard profiles. Note: not compatible with Xbox.

✓ Streamers and content creators (BLUE VO!CE mic)
✓ PS5 / PS4 owners (tri-mode flexibility)
✓ Nintendo Switch / Switch 2 (LIGHTSPEED via dock or USB-C)
✓ Long sessions where 290 g comfort matters
✓ Gamers who want LIGHTSYNC RGB to match their setup

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the G522 work with Xbox?
No. The G522 LIGHTSPEED is not compatible with Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S. It works with PC, Mac, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch / Switch 2, and mobile devices via Bluetooth or USB-C.
How is battery life affected by RGB lighting?
Up to 90 hours with RGB lighting disabled (LIGHTSPEED, moderate volume), or around 40 hours with default lighting active. G HUB also offers an optional 80% charge limit to preserve battery longevity.
Can I use LIGHTSPEED and Bluetooth at the same time?
No. The G522 supports tri-mode connectivity (LIGHTSPEED, Bluetooth, USB-C) but only one audio source is active at a time — toggle between LIGHTSPEED and Bluetooth using the dedicated button on the left earcup.
Is the microphone detachable?
Yes. The boom mic is fully detachable — wear the G522 as standard over-ear headphones for music or take it off when you don't need voice chat. A red mute LED at the tip clearly shows when you're muted.
Singular Expert Insight
Choose the G522 LIGHTSPEED if you want flagship-grade audio, a genuinely broadcast-quality BLUE VO!CE mic and tri-mode connectivity at a mid-range price — it's the natural successor to the G733 and a sweet-spot pick for PC gamers who also stream or use Discord heavily. If you don't need RGB or BLUE VO!CE, the G321 LIGHTSPEED gives you the same wireless tech for far less. If you compete in esports and want lower-latency tuning with 50 mm drivers, step up to the G PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED. If you play primarily on Xbox, this headset is not compatible — look at the Logitech A30 / Astro range.

Buyer's Guide

Buy it if
You want a mid-range G5 wireless headset with BLUE VO!CE broadcast mic, tri-mode connectivity, 90 hr battery and LIGHTSYNC RGB — ideal for PC + PS5 + streaming.
Skip it if
You game on Xbox (not supported), need active noise cancellation, want simultaneous LIGHTSPEED+Bluetooth, or need a sturdier all-metal build — the G522 is mostly plastic to stay at 290 g.
Also consider
G321 LIGHTSPEED for budget LIGHTSPEED+BT (no RGB, no BLUE VO!CE), G PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED for esports-tuned 50 mm drivers, or Logitech A30 if Xbox support is required.
