Logitech M185 Wireless Mouse — Red
2.4 GHz nano receiver1000 DPI12 months on 1× AA3-year Logitech warranty
The Logitech M185 (910-002237, Red) is the plug-and-play basic: a 2.4 GHz nano receiver that stays in the laptop, Logitech Advanced Optical Tracking at 1000 DPI, and a single AA battery that lasts about 12 months thanks to the on/off switch and auto-sleep. The compact, symmetrical shell suits either hand, and Logitech backs it with a three-year limited hardware warranty.
Compatibility — check before buying:
2.4 GHz nano receiver only (not Unifying, not Bluetooth), USB-A; a USB-C-only laptop needs an adapter. Windows, macOS, ChromeOS and Linux, no software needed. Three controls: left, right and a scroll wheel with middle click; no side buttons and no DPI switch. Logitech has shipped several hardware revisions of the M185 with slightly different dimensions; the exact revision in the box is not published.

Singular Expert Insight
The M185 is the reference cheap wireless mouse in our wireless mice: nothing to configure, a year on one AA and a 3-year Logitech term. The M220 Silent is the same shell with 90 % quieter clicks; the M190 is the full-size version for larger hands. A docking stations supplies the USB-A port for the receiver on a USB-C laptop.
