The PLANET IGS-5225-4T2S is an industrial L2+ managed Gigabit switch with four copper ports and two dual-speed SFP slots (up to 2.5G), built for resilient ring topologies in factories, outdoor cabinets and transport networks. Part number IGS-5225-4T2S adds ERPS ring redundancy (ITU-T G.8032), Layer 3 static routing and IEEE 1588v2 timing, in an IP30 metal case rated from -40 to +75°C with dual redundant DC power. Compatibility — check before buying:
The four access ports are Gigabit copper; the two SFP slots are dual-speed and accept 1000 or 2500BASE-X modules (up to 2.5G fibre). This model has no PoE — powered devices need a separate PoE switch or injector. It is DC-powered through dual redundant 12-48V inputs (or 24V AC), not a standard AC plug, and the power supply is not included. As an L2+ managed switch it supports VLANs, static routing, ACLs and ERPS ring protection.
