Manhattan 162746 — 4-Port USB 3.0 Type-C Hub
USB-C in, 4 x USB-A out5 Gbps SuperSpeed31 g, 20 cm cable3-year manufacturer warranty
The Manhattan 162746 does one job cleanly: it takes a single USB-C port on a laptop or tablet and turns it into four standard USB-A sockets at up to 5 Gbps. The body is 89 x 38 x 10 mm in ABS plastic, weighs 31 g and carries a 20 cm built-in cable, which makes it the sort of hub that lives permanently in a laptop bag rather than on a desk. Manhattan backs it with a three-year warranty, which is longer than most hubs at this level.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The connector is USB-C — it will not fit a USB-A port without an adapter. The important number here is the power budget: Manhattan rates the hub at 1 A total, shared across all four ports, not per port. Keyboards, mice, flash drives, card readers, dongles and receivers are all comfortably inside that. A bus-powered portable hard drive is right at the edge and may drop out if anything else is drawing at the same time; two of them will not work. There is no video output, no Ethernet and no charging input, so the hub cannot power your laptop.
Best For
✓ USB-C laptops and tablets that still need USB-A sockets
✓ Keyboards, mice, wireless receivers and licence dongles
✓ Flash drives and card readers
✓ Travelling — 31 g and a 20 cm captive cable
✓ Meeting rooms and hot desks
✓ A spare hub kept in the bag for site visits
Key Features
USB-C in, four USB-A out
The most common shortage on a modern laptop is USB-A sockets, and this is the plain fix: one connector in, four standard ports out, no adapters stacked on top of each other.
5 Gbps SuperSpeed
USB 3.2 Gen 1, backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices. The 5 Gbps is shared across the four ports, so one drive at a time reaches full speed.
Short built-in cable
20 cm, attached, so there is no separate lead to lose and the hub sits close to the machine rather than sprawling across the desk.
Three-year warranty
Manhattan publishes a three-year term on this hub, longer than the one or two years typical in this class. Terms vary by region and Manhattan does not state a geographic scope.

Singular Expert Insight
Manhattan is straight about the one figure that decides whether this hub will annoy you: 1 A total across four ports. That is an honest number for a bus-powered hub of this size, and it draws the line clearly — everything that sips power works, anything that spins does not. Buy it for flash drives, receivers, keyboards and card readers, and leave hard drives to a powered hub. The three-year warranty is the other quiet argument for it over an unbranded equivalent. If the real need is a monitor, a network socket and charging from one cable, that is a docking station rather than any hub.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You need four USB-A sockets from a USB-C laptop for low-draw devices, in the smallest and lightest package that still carries a three-year warranty.
Skip it if
Skip it if you will run bus-powered hard drives, if you need to charge the laptop through the hub, or if a monitor or network port is part of the requirement.
Also consider
A self-powered hub with its own mains adapter for external drives, or a USB-C docking station if video, Ethernet and charging are needed.
