The Manhattan 356329 is a 2-piece adapter set: one USB-C (male) to USB-A (female) adapter and one USB-A (male) to USB-C (female) adapter, both USB 3.2 Gen 1 at up to 5 Gbit/s and rated for up to 3 A. Between them they cover both directions of the USB-A/USB-C mismatch.

Use the C-to-A adapter to plug a USB stick, reader or keyboard into a USB-C laptop or phone; use the A-to-C adapter to plug a USB-C cable or drive into an older USB-A port. Both have aluminium housings and a built-in keychain loop, so the set can travel on your keys.

Before you order: Manhattan states that the set supports only USB data transfer and charging — no audio/video signal. It will not connect a monitor, and the A-to-C adapter cannot pass USB Power Delivery from a USB-A port.

  • Charging through the A-to-C adapter is limited to what the USB-A port supplies; through the C-to-A adapter the USB-C device powers the accessory.

  • No video or audio signal transmission — not for monitors, projectors or USB-C audio adapters.
  • No USB Power Delivery fast charging for laptops through the USB-A side.
  • Not Thunderbolt/USB4 — such devices fall back to USB or do not work.

Which adapter do I need?
If the computer or phone has USB-C and the device has a USB-A plug, use the C-to-A adapter. If the port is USB-A and you have a USB-C cable or device, use the A-to-C adapter. The set gives you both.
Can I chain the two adapters?
There is no reason to — plugging them together just gives you the original connector back. Use one at a time.
Do they work with a MacBook or iPad?
Yes — the C-to-A adapter works with USB-C MacBooks and iPads for USB sticks, readers and keyboards.
