MediaRange MR936 32 GB — USB-A and USB-C, Aluminium, 10 g
32 GBUSB 3.2 Gen 1USB-A + USB-C60 MB/s read / 15 MB/s write
The MediaRange MR936 is a 32 GB USB 3.2 Gen 1 combo flash drive with a full-size USB-A plug at one end and a USB-C plug at the other, each under its own protective cap. The body is aluminium, 18 x 8 x 61 mm and 10 g. MediaRange publishes read speeds of up to 60 MB/s and write speeds of up to 15 MB/s, and the drive arrives formatted FAT32.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This drive reaches both kinds of port, which is the whole point of it: the USB-A end fits any normal computer, and the USB-C end fits modern Android phones and tablets, recent iPhones, and laptops whose ports are all USB-C. An older Android phone with a micro-USB port will not fit. Note the interface wording: MediaRange publishes this as USB 3.2 Gen 1. Listings that say “USB 3.1” are using an older name for the same thing, not describing a different drive. Two caps, and they are the thing to think about. Unlike MediaRange’s swivel drives, the MR936 protects each connector with a removable cap, and MediaRange does not describe them as tethered — so there are two small parts that can be put down and not picked up. ???? And there is a real ordering trap in this family at other capacities. At 64 GB and 128 GB, MediaRange sells two live article numbers with the same name and very different speeds:
MR937 is 60 / 15 while MR937-1 is 100 / 40; MR938 is 80 / 20 while MR938-1 is 200 / 150. At 32 GB there is no -1 twin, so this drive is unambiguous — but if you scale up later, check the suffix. Note also the operating range: 0 to 45 °C.Best For
✓ Moving photographs and video off a USB-C phone without a cable or a cloud account
✓ Laptops and Macs whose ports are all USB-C, where a normal stick will not fit
✓ Households and offices with a mix of old USB-A machines and new USB-C ones
✓ Anyone who has ever needed an adapter and not had one
✓ A slim metal body rather than plastic
✓ Handing a file to someone whose laptop you have never seen
Key Features
Both connectors, one body
USB-A at one end, USB-C at the other. No adapter, no dongle, nothing extra to carry.
Aluminium, 8 mm thick
A metal body at 18 x 8 x 61 mm and 10 g. Thin enough not to block the neighbouring port, and it survives a bag better than plastic.
60 MB/s read, 15 MB/s write
MediaRange publishes both figures. Comfortable for photographs and documents; a large video will take its time on the write, as it does on any drive in this class.
Android on the list
MediaRange lists Windows, macOS, Linux and Android for this model, because the USB-C end is what makes direct phone use possible.

Singular Expert Insight
A dual-ended drive solves a problem that adapters solve badly: you always have the right plug because both are attached. The MR936 does it in aluminium at 10 grams, with both figures published, which is more than several bigger brands manage. Two honest limits. The caps are separate parts, and MediaRange does not tether them — a swivel design has nothing to lose, and if that matters to you the USB-C swivel drives are worth a look. And 60 / 15 is mid-range: fine for photographs and documents, patient with video. If you plan to buy matching drives at larger capacities later, read the suffix carefully, because in this family it changes the speed dramatically. Everything sits in our USB flash drives range. For editing large files rather than carrying them, an external SSD is the right class of product.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You need one drive that plugs into both a normal computer and a USB-C phone or laptop, in a slim metal body, with both speeds published.
Skip it if
Your phone uses micro-USB or Lightning — neither end will fit. Or you would rather not have two loose caps to keep track of.
Also consider
MediaRange MR937-1 or MR938-1 for much faster 64 GB and 128 GB versions of the same idea. MR1952 if you only need USB-C, in a swivel body with nothing to lose. Any USB-A only drive if no phone is involved.
