A 32 GB USB 2.0 stick with an aluminium swivel body — the plug folds into the housing instead of hiding behind a cap you will lose. MediaRange rates it at 17 MB/s read and 7 MB/s write.
32 GBUSB 2.0 Type-A17 MB/s read / 7 MB/s writeAluminium swivel housing
The MR911 is MediaRange's standard swivel drive in 32 GB. The metal shell rotates 360 degrees around the plug, so the connector is protected when folded and there is no separate cap to go missing — the single most common way a cheap flash drive gets ruined. It is USB 2.0, it arrives FAT32, and it carries no software, no encryption and no bundled portal. The hole in the shell takes a keyring or lanyard directly.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Any USB-A port on Windows, macOS or Linux will mount it without a driver. Plugged into a USB 3.0, 3.1 or 3.2 socket it works normally but still at USB 2.0 speed. The plug is Type-A only — a USB-C-only laptop or a phone needs an adapter or hub, and MediaRange does not supply one.
Best For
✓ Everyday document, PDF and photo transfer between office machines
✓ A keyring drive that survives pockets and bags without a cap to lose
✓ Loading FAT32-reading car stereos, TVs and DAB radios
✓ Handing files to clients or colleagues
✓ A cheap spare that lives in a laptop bag
✓ Anyone who has already lost the cap off two other drives
Key Features
Swivel, not a cap
The aluminium shell turns a full circle around the plug. Folded, the contacts are covered; open, it is a normal Type-A stick. Nothing detaches, so nothing gets lost.
Metal shell, 12 g
The housing is aluminium over an ABS core — heavier and less prone to cracking than a moulded plastic body, and it does not flex when you pull it out of a tight port.
17 / 7 MB/s, published
Roughly a minute to read a gigabyte off, roughly two and a half to write one on. Ordinary USB 2.0 figures, and MediaRange states them rather than leaving them blank.
Keyring hole in the shell
The loop is part of the metal body, not a plastic tab moulded onto it, so a keyring will not snap it off.

Singular Expert Insight
A swivel body is the right choice when the drive lives in a pocket or on a keyring, because the failure mode of a capped drive is losing the cap, not losing the data. What it will not fix is speed: at 17 / 7 MB/s this is a document and photo drive, and copying video or disk images onto it is a slow evening. If that is your use, move up to a USB 3.2 model in the USB flash drives range, and if you are editing files directly off the stick rather than just carrying them, a small external SSD is the honest answer.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want a cheap, sturdy 32 GB USB-A drive with nothing to lose off it, and USB 2.0 speed is fine for documents and photos.
Skip it if
You copy multi-gigabyte files often, you need USB-C directly, or you need encryption — this drive does none of those.
Also consider
Order MR911, not MR911NTRL. The NTRL article is the unprinted bulk version of the same drive, sold without retail packaging for custom branding, and it is not what you want if you expect a single boxed stick. Send us the code you plan to order and we will check it first.
