MediaRange MR921 — Nano 16 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive with Key Chain, Black

16 GB capacity20 x 12 x 4 mm, 3 gAluminium body, key hanger includedRead 15 / write 4 MB/s

The MediaRange MR921 is a 16 GB Nano USB 2.0 flash drive: an aluminium body of just 20 x 12 x 4 mm and 3 g that sits almost flush in the port, with a black finish and a nylon key hanger in the pack so it does not get lost. MediaRange sells it under part number MR921 and EAN 4260283115471. It is made for two jobs: living permanently in a laptop, TV or car radio without a stub sticking out, or riding on a keyring as an always-with-you 16 GB of documents. MediaRange publishes up to 15 MB/s read and 4 MB/s write, so photos and files open quickly but writing a full 16 GB takes roughly 70 minutes — buy it for size and convenience, not for moving video. Tell us where it will live and we will confirm it fits the port and the job.

Compatibility — check before buying:
The plug is USB Type-A. It works in any USB-A port and runs in USB 3.x ports at USB 2.0 speed; it does NOT fit a phone or a USB-C-only laptop without a USB-C to USB-A adapter. Because the body is tiny there is little to grip when removing it from a recessed port — the key hanger helps. It ships FAT32 pre-formatted, which TVs, car radios and cameras read, but FAT32 limits a single file to 4 GB; reformat to exFAT for larger files. Do not confuse it with the MediaRange paper-clip sticks (MR975, MR976, MR977), which are a different, flat plastic shape sometimes mislabelled “Nano” by resellers.

Best For

✓ A permanent extra drive in a laptop USB port
✓ Music left in a car stereo or a TV media port
✓ Documents on a keyring, always with you
✓ Printers and copiers that scan to USB
✓ Ultrabooks where a normal stick would stick out
✓ Anyone who dislikes a protruding drive

Key Features

Almost flush in the port
At 20 x 12 x 4 mm the Nano barely shows once inserted. Leave it in a laptop, TV or car radio and there is nothing to catch on a bag or snap off.

Aluminium body, key hanger in the box
The body is aluminium rather than plastic, and MediaRange includes a nylon key hanger so the tiny drive stays attached to your keys.

Speed that fits its job
MediaRange publishes up to 15 MB/s read and 4 MB/s write. Documents, music and photos are instant to open; writing a full 16 GB takes about 70 minutes, so it is not for regular video copies.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the MR921 work in my car radio or TV?
Yes, if it has a USB-A port and reads USB sticks; FAT32 formatting helps here because almost every radio and TV reads it. Tell us the model and we will check.
How do I get it out of the port?
Use the key hanger or a fingernail on the edge. It is designed to stay put, not to be swapped several times a day.
Is the MR921 fast enough for films?
Reading a film off it is fine at 15 MB/s. Writing is the slow part: at 4 MB/s a 2 GB film takes about 9 minutes to copy on, so use it for a small library, not a daily video shuttle.
What is the difference between the Nano and the MediaRange paper-clip stick?
The Nano is a tiny aluminium block that stays in the port; the paper-clip stick (MR975-MR977) is a flat plastic drive shaped to clip onto paper. Different shape, similar USB 2.0 speed.
Singular Expert Insight

Within the MediaRange Nano ladder (MR920 8 GB, MR921 16 GB, MR922 32 GB, MR923 64 GB) every size shares the same 15 / 4 MB/s figures, so choose purely on capacity. 16 GB is the comfortable choice for a permanent laptop drive or a larger music library; the MR920 8 GB is enough if it only carries documents. Ask us and we will confirm the size before you order.

Buyer’s Guide

Buy it if

You want a drive that stays in a laptop, TV or car port almost invisibly, or a 16 GB stick that lives on your keyring, and speed is secondary.

Skip it if

You copy large video files often — 4 MB/s write means about 70 minutes to fill it — or your devices are USB-C only.

Also consider

The MR920 8 GB Nano if it only carries documents, the MR922 32 GB for a bigger library, or the MR910 swivel 16 GB for a full-size stick you can grip.
