Mobilis Universal Rotating Security Cable · Keyed · 3 Heads · 1.8 m
Nano + Wedge + T-Lock3 interchangeable headsKeyed, 2 keys1.8 m steel cable
The Mobilis 001378 is a universal keyed security cable with three interchangeable lock heads, Nano, Wedge and T-Lock, so a single part number secures almost any laptop, monitor or device regardless of which security slot it has. It is a good fit for companies and schools with mixed fleets of HP, Lenovo, Dell and other brands, and for IT teams that do not want to stock three different locks.
The 1.8 m cable is 4 mm, 7-strand steel with a rated strength of one tonne, and the lock head rotates so the cable can leave the device in any direction.
Before you order: Works only with devices that have one of the three supported slots: Nano (2.5 x 6 mm), Wedge (4.5 x 3.2 mm) or T-Lock / standard K-slot (7 x 3 mm). Devices with no security slot, such as MacBooks, need a slot adapter first.
What's in the Box
- 1 x security cable with lock, 1.8 m
- 3 x interchangeable heads: Nano, Wedge, T-Lock
- 2 x numbered keys (serial number on cable and keys)
What It Means in Practice
- Fit the head that matches your device slot: Nano for thin HP/Lenovo devices, Wedge for Dell, T-Lock for the classic Kensington-type slot.
- If you change laptops later, swap the head instead of buying a new lock.
- The serial number on keys and cable makes replacement keys and asset tracking easier.
- Master-key options exist in the Mobilis range for managed fleets.
What Will Not Work
- Devices with no security slot (MacBooks, many tablets) without a separate slot adapter.
- Proprietary slots outside the Nano, Wedge and T-Lock formats.
- Keyless use: this is a keyed lock; keep the keys safe.
- Protection against determined theft with cutting tools: cable locks are a deterrent.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
For mixed fleets, a universal lock saves both money and confusion: one SKU, three heads, no wrong orders. If laptops sit on a dock, see our docking stations; many have their own lock slot as an anchor point.
✓ Buy it if you manage different laptop brands and want one lock for all of them.
✕ Skip it if you prefer keyless combination locks, or your device has no security slot.
→ Also consider a universal combination lock with K-slot, Nano and Wedge heads if keys are a problem in your environment.
Not sure which slot your device has? Send us the model and we will confirm the right head.
