The MSI PRO A520M-S (part number 7C96-071R) is a micro-ATX motherboard for AMD socket AM4, supporting Ryzen 5000, 5000 G-Series, 4000 G-Series, 3000 and 3000 G-Series desktop processors, designed for affordable office, school and home PCs.
Two DDR4 slots accept up to 64GB in dual channel, with A-XMP overclocking beyond 4600 MT/s on Ryzen 5000 CPUs. A single M.2 slot runs NVMe at PCIe 3.0 x4 or SATA mode, and four SATA 6Gb/s ports cover additional SSDs and hard drives.
The rear panel offers HDMI output for Ryzen APUs, four USB 5Gbps and two USB 2.0 ports, a PS/2 keyboard/mouse port, Realtek 1GbE LAN and ALC897 7.1-channel audio. An internal COM header supports legacy serial devices in business environments.
Compatibility note: The only video output is HDMI 1.4 (up to 4K at 30Hz) and it requires a Ryzen processor with integrated graphics (G-Series); other Ryzen CPUs need a graphics card. There is no onboard Wi-Fi, and Ryzen 7000/9000 AM5 processors are not compatible.
