The MSI SPATIUM M571 DLP 2TB (part number S78-440Q1K0-P83) is a PCIe 5.0 x4 NVMe M.2 2280 SSD rated up to 14,500 MB/s read and 11,000 MB/s write, built for gaming PCs, creator workstations and fast system upgrades.

It uses the Phison E28 controller with 2GB of LPDDR4 DRAM cache and 3D NAND. The E28 is a 6 nm controller, so the M571 runs at a maximum of just 6.5 W — cooler and more efficient than first-generation Gen5 drives while keeping the top-tier sequential speeds.

Compatibility note: Full speed needs a PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot (e.g. AMD X870/X870E/B850/B650E or Intel Z790/Z890 boards with a Gen5 M.2 socket); in a PCIe 4.0 slot it runs at Gen4 speeds. The drive ships bare — install it under the motherboard's M.2 heatsink to avoid thermal throttling under sustained load.

Yes. It is backward compatible with PCIe Gen4, Gen3 and older M.2 NVMe slots, but speed is limited by the slot — roughly 7,000 MB/s on Gen4.
What is the difference between the SPATIUM M571 and the M580?
