The Nanoxia NXP683ER is a 30 cm red sleeved adapter with a 6-pin PCIe socket on one end and a 6+2-pin PCIe plug on the other: the power supply 6-pin lead plugs into it, and the 6+2 end goes into a graphics card with a 6-pin or 8-pin power socket.
Each wire has its own opaque single sleeve in red, so it also works as a colour-matched extension in a build with a window.
Before you order: A 6-pin PCIe lead from the power supply is specified for 75 W, while an 8-pin GPU socket expects up to 150 W. Use the 8-pin configuration only if your power supply maker confirms the 6-pin lead can deliver it; otherwise use a native 8-pin lead.

What It Means in Practice
- As a sleeved extension: plug a 6-pin PSU lead in and the 6-pin part into a GPU with a 6-pin socket, for a red cable look in a windowed case.
- For 8-pin GPU sockets, the extra +2 pins clip on to form an 8-pin plug, within the power limits explained above.
- 30 cm adds enough length to route the cable behind the motherboard tray.
What Will Not Work
- It does not fit 12VHPWR / 12V-2x6 (16-pin) sockets on current high-end graphics cards.
- It does not fit CPU (EPS 4+4) sockets, even though they look similar.
- It does not add power capacity: a weak power supply stays weak.
- It does not convert Molex or SATA to PCIe.
