NETGEAR APS920W 920 W Modular Power Supply for M4350 Switches
920 WHot-swapPoE budget boostM4350 series
The NETGEAR APS920W (APS920W-100NES) is a 920 W hot-pluggable modular power supply for NETGEAR M4350 series managed switches. You add it to a free power supply bay to raise the switch PoE budget, to make the power supply redundant, or as a spare for a unit already in service.
In the M4350 the extra supply works automatically in power-sharing and 1+1 redundant mode. On the 48-port PoE models it lifts the PoE budget from a few hundred watts to well over 800 W, enough for Wi-Fi 7 access points, PTZ cameras and other high-power devices. It accepts 100 to 240 V AC through a standard C14 inlet.
Before you order: NETGEAR lists the APS920W for the M4350 series only (M4350-24G4XF, M4350-48G4XF, M4350-24X4V, M4350-44M4X4V, M4350-24F4V). It is not listed for M4300 or M4500 switches. Send us your switch model if it is not on this list.
What's in the Box

- Power cord: NETGEAR documents disagree on whether a cord is included; we confirm with your order
What It Means in Practice
- On an M4350-48G4XF the PoE budget rises from 236 W to 892 W with one APS920W, and to 1,440 W with two.
- On an M4350-44M4X4V it rises from 194 W to 850 W with one, and 1,586 W with two.
- On the 24-port M4350-24G4XF and 24X4V it adds headroom up to 720 W and a redundant supply.
- Hot-swap means you can replace a failed unit without shutting the switch down.
What Will Not Work
- It will not fit NETGEAR M4300, M4500 or other switch families.
- On the M4350-24F4V (no PoE) it adds redundancy only, not PoE power.
- It does not raise the PoE budget beyond the switch maximum shown in the NETGEAR datasheet.
- It is not an external RPS unit; it plugs into the switch power bay.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much PoE do I get with it?
It depends on the switch. For example an M4350-48G4XF goes from 236 W to 892 W with one APS920W and 1,440 W with two.
Can I install it while the switch is running?
Yes, in M4350 models with more than one power bay the supplies are hot-pluggable.
Does it work in my M4300?
NETGEAR lists it for the M4350 series only. Send us your model and we will find the right supply.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The PoE budget is the number that limits real deployments: a 48-port switch that can only deliver 236 W runs out after a handful of Wi-Fi 7 access points. Adding an APS920W is usually cheaper than a second switch, and it gives redundancy as a bonus. See our
network switches for M4350 models.
✓ Buy it if you run an M4350 switch and need more PoE power or a redundant supply.
✕ Skip it if your switch is not an M4350, or your PoE devices already fit the internal budget.
→ Also consider a second APS920W for maximum budget on 48-port models, or NETGEAR M4350 switches.
