Patriot Supersonic Rage Lite 32 GB — Retractable, 120 MB/s Read
32 GBUSB 3.2 Gen 1, Type-AUp to 120 MB/s readRetractable, keychain holder
The Patriot Supersonic Rage Lite is a 32 GB USB 3.2 Gen 1 flash drive with a retractable connector and a keychain holder. Patriot claims read speeds of up to 120 MB/s for the range. It measures 55 x 21 x 10 mm and weighs 10 g on its own, or 20.2 g including the hang card, and Patriot covers it for three years.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This is a USB Type-A drive with no USB-C connector and no adapter in the pack, so it will not enter a phone or a USB-C-only laptop. ???? The Supersonic Rage name covers three very different drives, and this is the slowest of them. Rage Lite — this one — is USB 3.2 Gen 1 at up to 120 MB/s read. Rage Pro is also Gen 1 but claimed at up to 420 MB/s. Rage Prime is USB 3.2 Gen 2, claimed at up to 600 MB/s — and it needs a Gen 2 port to get anywhere near that. If you read a glowing review of a “Patriot Supersonic Rage” quoting 400 or 600 MB/s, it was not about this drive. Two further honest points. The 120 MB/s figure is a range-wide claim, not a measurement at 32 GB — Patriot publishes the same number for the 1 TB version. And Patriot publishes no write speed at all, at any capacity, which on a drive of this class is the figure that actually bites: reads are usually several times quicker than writes. If write speed decides your purchase, ask us for a drive whose maker states one.
Best For
✓ Everyday transport of documents, photographs and installers
✓ A drive that lives on a keychain — the holder is built in
✓ Machines and laptops with USB-A ports
✓ Anyone who wants a retractable connector rather than a cap
✓ Reading files off the drive more often than writing to it
✓ Buyers who want a three-year manufacturer term at a modest price
Key Features
Retractable connector
Patriot’s own word is retractable: the connector withdraws into the body when the drive is not in use, so there is no cap to lose and the contacts are covered.
Keychain holder
Built into the body rather than supplied as a separate loop, so there is nothing to snap off.
Up to 120 MB/s read
Comfortable for pulling documents, photographs and installers off the drive. Patriot quotes it for the range rather than for this capacity, so read it as a class figure.
CE, FCC and RoHS
Certified for the European market, and Patriot backs the drive for three years — longer than the two years its Lifestyle range carries.

Singular Expert Insight
The Rage Lite is the entry model of a family whose name suggests something much faster, and that is the single most useful thing to know about it. On its own terms it is a decent everyday stick — retractable, keychain holder, 120 MB/s read, three years of cover — and at 32 GB it is priced for carrying documents rather than video libraries. What you should not do is buy it expecting Supersonic Rage performance you read about elsewhere; that was the Pro or the Prime. And with no published write speed anywhere, this is a drive to choose for reading from rather than writing to. If write throughput is part of your decision, several makers in our USB flash drives range publish both figures per capacity. For large working files, an external SSD is the right class of product.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want a retractable 32 GB USB-A stick with a keychain holder and a three-year term, and 120 MB/s read is what you need from it.
Skip it if
You are after the fast Supersonic Rage you read about — that is the Pro or the Prime. Or you need a published write speed, or a USB-C connector.
Also consider
Patriot Supersonic Rage Pro or Rage Prime for far higher claimed read speeds and five-year cover. Silicon Power Blaze B30 for published per-capacity read and write. Any USB-C drive if a phone is involved.
