The Peach Multi Pack PI100-223 is a remanufactured two-cartridge set that replaces the Canon PG-545 black and CL-546 tri-colour print-head cartridges (8286B006), rated at about 245 and 295 pages, for PIXMA MG, MX, TR and TS home printers.
Each cartridge contains its own print head, so it slots in exactly like the Canon original. The one difference is the ink-level display, explained below.
Before you order: After installing, the printer will say the cartridges are empty. This is expected for remanufactured PG-545/CL-546 — hold Stop/Reset for 8 seconds to continue printing.

What It Means in Practice
- Expected output per cartridge: Black print-head cartridge (PG-545 type) 9.5 ml, approx. 245 pages; Tri-colour print-head cartridge (CL-546 type) 10 ml, approx. 295 pages. Yields as published by Peach for standard A4 pages.
- These are remanufactured Canon cartridges whose chips cannot be reset, so the printer will report them as empty. Switch off the ink-level warning once by holding the Stop/Reset button for at least 8 seconds when the message appears; printing then continues normally, but the printer no longer tracks the level.
- To compare running costs, divide the price by the rated pages and set that against the original Canon cartridge — that cost per page is the real saving, not the sticker price.
- Inkjets dry out when idle: printing a page at least once a week keeps the nozzles clear and saves ink otherwise spent on cleaning cycles.
What Will Not Work
- Any printer not on the compatibility list below, even if it is the same brand or looks similar — Canon changes cartridge families between models.
- Printers that take PG-540/CL-541, PG-560/CL-561 or PG-575/CL-576 — different print-head cartridges.
- Automatic low-ink warnings — the level display stays at “empty” once you have switched the warning off.
- XL capacity — these are standard PG-545/CL-546 sizes, not PG-545XL/CL-546XL.
