The Philips 24B2N3200JH/00 is one 23.8-inch Full HD IPS business monitor with a 5MP Windows Hello webcam, microphone and two 5W speakers. It connects to your computer through HDMI, DisplayPort or VGA for the picture, while its USB hub uses a separate USB-B upstream connection. The USB-C port is a downstream data/15W output, so this is a conventional monitor and USB hub rather than a one-cable USB-C laptop dock. Its stand adjusts height by 150mm and supports pivot, swivel and tilt.

Before you order:
For Full HD at 120Hz use a compatible HDMI or DisplayPort source; VGA is limited to Full HD at 75Hz. Plan the USB upstream connection for computer access to USB peripherals and the webcam. A USB-B upstream cable is not listed in the exact-model supplied-cable list, so confirm the regional package or arrange a compatible cable. Windows Hello requires a compatible Windows setup.

What It Means in Practice

  • For video meetings, connect mains power, an HDMI/DP video cable and the USB upstream link to the computer, then choose the monitor camera, microphone and speakers in the calling application. Adjust the camera by up to ±30° to frame your position.
  • 120Hz can make scrolling and window movement smoother when your source is configured accordingly. VGA cannot use the 120Hz maximum.
  • Use the downstream USB-C for compatible USB data devices or up to 15W power output. It does not replace an upstream laptop video/charging connection.
  • Smart Link Sync works only when this model is the secondary display in a compatible daisy-chain setup whose primary display also supports Smart Link Sync. The primary monitor supplies the chain connection.

What Will Not Work

  • USB-C laptop video/docking or high-power laptop charging through the downstream data/15W port.
  • 120Hz through VGA, or expecting HDMI/DP video alone to provide the USB data connection.
  • Using this model as the Smart Link Sync primary monitor or as a standalone video-conferencing computer.
