PLANET Industrial PoE+ Media Converter SFP to RJ45, 802.3at 30 W, 12–48 V DC Input, -40 to 75 °C, IP30, DIN-Rail
PLANET IGTP-805AT Industrial PoE+ Media Converter — SFP to RJ45, 802.3at
The PLANET IGTP-805AT is an industrial media converter that takes fiber in through a 100/1000Base-X SFP slot and delivers Ethernet plus IEEE 802.3at PoE+ power (up to 30 W) on its RJ45 port. It is built for outdoor cabinets, traffic and parking systems, factories and utility sites, with an IP30 metal case, DIN-rail or wall mounting and a -40 to 75 °C operating range.
A built-in power booster converts a 12–48 V DC or 24 V AC input up to the 52 V needed for PoE, so you can run it from the low-voltage industrial supply already in the cabinet. Dual power inputs and a fault alarm relay support redundant installations.
What's in the Box
- 1 × PLANET IGTP-805AT industrial PoE+ media converter
- Plan separately: an industrial 12–48 V DC or 24 V AC power supply
- Plan separately: a 100/1000Base-X SFP module and fiber patch cords
What It Means in Practice
- Typical job: fiber arrives at a roadside or perimeter cabinet; the IGTP-805AT feeds a PoE camera or access point from the cabinet’s 24 V supply.
- Dual-mode SFP slot: 100Base-FX or 1000Base-X, with distance set by the module (PLANET mentions up to 120 km with long-reach optics).
- Redundant master/slave power inputs with reverse-polarity protection on a removable terminal block; alarm relay rated 1 A at 24 V DC for power failure.
- LFP and FEF selectable by DIP switch; IEEE 802.3az energy-efficient Ethernet; 9K jumbo frames; 6 kV ESD protection.
- IP30 metal case 135 × 87.8 × 32 mm, 420 g, tested to IEC 60068-2-6/27/32 for vibration, shock and free fall.
What Will Not Work
- Operating without an SFP module or a DC/AC supply.
- 802.3bt devices or loads above 30 W.
- Being powered by PoE — it is a PoE source.
- 10G links — 100/1000 Mbps only.
- Wet outdoor exposure without an enclosure — IP30 protects against solid objects, not water.
