The PLANET POE-173S is a single-port Gigabit 802.3bt PoE++ splitter. It takes power and data from a PoE++ switch or injector on one RJ45 port, passes 10/100/1000 Mbps data out on a second RJ45 port, and supplies DC power on a DC jack for a device that has no PoE input. The output voltage is set with a DIP switch to 12, 19 or 24 V DC. With an 802.3bt Type 4 source it delivers 5 A at 12 V, 3.15 A at 19 V or 2.5 A at 24 V. The unit is in a metal case, 94 × 70.3 × 39.2 mm and 265 g, for desktop or wall mounting. In practice it powers a camera, access point, mini PC or thin client from a single network cable.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Full power needs an 802.3bt PoE source. On an 802.3at (PoE+) port the output is limited to 30 W. Set the DIP switch to your device’s voltage before connecting it — a wrong setting can damage the device. Check that your device’s DC plug matches the 5.5/2.5 mm adapter cables in the box.
