Place the POE-E301 between a PoE switch or injector and a remote powered device to add another cable segment of up to 100m. It regenerates the Gigabit link and forwards the remaining PoE power, so the extender needs no separate local power adapter. Check the source budget and the remote device load before planning a long run.

Extend one powered link
Two RJ45 ports carry data and power: one input and one output. A single extender supports a 200m overall route using two segments of up to 100m each.
 
Select the required PoE mode
BT is the default mode for IEEE 802.3af/at/bt devices. The UPOE DIP setting supports Cisco UPoE or PoH as described in the manual; select the mode for the actual powered device.
 
Plan power across the chain
Three extenders can form four 100m segments for up to 400m. Each extender uses up to 2.4W, and cable losses reduce available endpoint power. The stated 65W output budget is not a promise of that power at every distance.
 
Mount and ground correctly
The metal enclosure supports wall mounting or an optional RKE-DIN bracket. The manual requires grounding and recommends solid-conductor UTP cable for extension quality.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does one POE-E301 provide a 400m link?
One extends the link to 200m using two 100m segments. The 400m reference requires three extenders, four segments and sufficient remaining power for the PD.
Do I need a socket at the extender?
No local adapter is required: incoming PoE powers the extender. A suitable PoE switch or injector is still needed at the source.
Is the DIN-rail bracket included?
No. The manual specifies the RKE-DIN mounting kit as an optional separate purchase.
