Poly Blackwire 3225 — Stereo USB-C Headset with 3.5 mm
Stereo on-earUSB-CUSB-A adapter included3.5 mm plug
The Poly Blackwire 3225 (8X229AA) is a lightweight stereo wired headset for professional calls, meetings and everyday multimedia. It connects directly through USB-C, includes a USB-C-to-USB-A adapter for wider PC compatibility and also provides a 3.5 mm connection for compatible mobile devices and tablets. Poly Dynamic EQ automatically adjusts the audio profile between calls and multimedia playback.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This exact 8X229AA model is the Blackwire 3225 stereo USB-C version with a 3.5 mm plug and USB-C-to-USB-A adapter. It is not a Microsoft Teams-specific Blackwire 3325 model and should not be confused with the Blackwire 3215, which is monaural. For analogue use, the target device must provide a compatible 3.5 mm headset port.
Best For
✓ Office and home-office calls
✓ Video meetings and unified communications
✓ USB-C and USB-A computers
✓ Compatible mobile devices via 3.5 mm
Key Features
USB-C with USB-A adapter
Connect directly to a USB-C computer or use the supplied USB-C-to-USB-A adapter with systems that still provide traditional USB-A ports. The adapter is included with this exact retail SKU.
3.5 mm mobile connectivity
The 3.5 mm connection provides an additional option for compatible mobile devices and tablets, making the Blackwire 3225 more flexible than a USB-only office headset.
Dynamic EQ and stereo audio
Poly Dynamic EQ optimizes voice quality during calls and automatically changes the audio profile when you switch to music or multimedia. The 28 mm speakers support 200 Hz to 6.8 kHz in speech mode and 20 Hz to 20 kHz in media mode.
Noise-cancelling microphone
The boom microphone uses noise-cancelling technology and a 100 Hz to 10 kHz bandwidth to support clear professional voice communication. The boom rotates through 270 degrees for positioning.

Singular Expert Insight
The main reason to choose 8X229AA is its combination of stereo audio and three practical connection options. USB-C covers modern laptops, the included adapter covers USB-A workstations, and the 3.5 mm plug adds support for compatible mobile devices and tablets. Dynamic EQ makes the Blackwire 3225 particularly useful for people who move between calls and multimedia during the day, while the included travel case makes this retail package more convenient for hybrid work.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want a stereo wired headset that can cover USB-C, USB-A and compatible 3.5 mm devices, with a noise-cancelling microphone and travel case included.
Skip it if
You need wireless mobility, active noise cancellation for listening, a single-ear headset or a specifically Microsoft Teams-certified Blackwire variant.
Check first
For USB-A use, fit the supplied USB-C-to-USB-A adapter. For analogue use, confirm that your device has a compatible 3.5 mm headset socket.
