An in-line controller carries answer, mute and volume with indicator lights, the boom microphone rotates through 280 degrees so it works on either side, and a USB-C to USB-A adapter and a carrying case are in the box. HP sells this article in bulk packaging rather than the retail box.
Compatibility — check before buying:
There is no active noise cancellation here. HP publishes a noise-cancelling microphone — it keeps your office out of the call for the person listening — and describes the ear cushions as providing passive noise cancelling, which is foam and clamp force. You will still hear your surroundings. A buyer expecting ANC will send this back. SoundGuard DIGITAL only works with the Poly Lens desktop app installed; without it the acoustic-shock limiting is not in effect, and Poly Lens needs Windows 10 or newer. HP publishes Zoom, Google Meet and Works With Chromebook certification for this part number — not Microsoft Teams, whatever some listings claim. The 3.5 mm plug is the mobile and tablet alternative, not a second simultaneous connection.

Two things are worth being blunt about. First, the noise cancelling is the microphone: your callers stop hearing your office, you do not. Second, HP certifies this part number for Zoom, Google Meet and Chromebook, not Microsoft Teams, whatever a listing elsewhere says — if you are a Teams house, ask us for the certified part instead.
