Poly EncorePro 520 — Stereo Quick Disconnect Headset
Stereo on-earQuick DisconnectNoise-cancelling mic74 g
The Poly EncorePro 520 (783P7AA#ABB) is a lightweight binaural wired headset designed for professional call-centre and office communication. It combines a stereo on-ear design with Poly Quick Disconnect technology, a flexible noise-cancelling boom microphone and SoundGuard acoustic protection for comfortable, voice-focused use throughout the working day.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This exact 783P7AA#ABB model uses Poly Quick Disconnect (QD). It is not a direct USB-A, USB-C or 3.5 mm headset. A compatible Poly QD adapter or bottom cable is required for the target computer or desk-phone setup. HP lists only the headset in the box, so a QD adapter should not be assumed to be included.
Best For
✓ Contact centres and call-heavy offices
✓ Existing Poly Quick Disconnect setups
✓ Users who want two-ear call audio
✓ Windows and macOS communication workflows
Key Features
Poly Quick Disconnect
Quick Disconnect lets users separate the headset from a compatible Poly QD adapter without removing the headset, a useful feature in contact-centre and shared-desk environments.
Noise-cancelling boom microphone
The flexible boom microphone is designed to reduce background noise and interference. HP specifies a 135 mm boom with 290° rotation, helping users position the microphone consistently for clear calls.
Stereo voice-focused audio
The binaural on-ear design uses 30 mm speakers with a published 150 Hz to 6.8 kHz bandwidth, optimized for professional voice communication rather than entertainment-first listening.
SoundGuard acoustic protection
Poly SoundGuard acoustic limiting technology is designed to help protect against acoustic shock by limiting sudden sound levels to below 118 dBA.

Singular Expert Insight
The critical detail with 783P7AA#ABB is the connector. This is the binaural EncorePro 520 with Poly Quick Disconnect, not a direct USB headset. That modular QD connection is particularly useful in contact centres because the headset can stay with the user while the device-specific lower cable or adapter remains at the workstation. At 74 g, the headset is also very light for a two-ear professional model. Make sure the correct Poly QD adapter is available before ordering.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You need a lightweight stereo professional headset for an existing Poly Quick Disconnect environment and want strong voice clarity with acoustic protection.
Skip it if
You need a headset that plugs directly into USB-C, USB-A or 3.5 mm without an additional QD adapter, or you prefer a single-ear design.
Check first
Confirm the exact QD adapter or bottom cable required by your computer or desk phone. HP lists the headset only in the package.
