Stereo on-earUSB-AMicrosoft Teams certifiedNoise-cancelling mic
The Poly EncorePro 525 (783R2AA) is a professional stereo wired headset designed for voice-intensive work on Windows and macOS computers. This exact variant is Microsoft Teams certified and connects through USB-A, combining a noise-cancelling boom microphone, two on-ear speakers, inline call controls and Poly SoundGuard Digital acoustic protection.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This exact 783R2AA is the Microsoft Teams-certified stereo USB-A EncorePro 525. HP also lists compatibility through a USB-A-to-USB-C adapter, but the official package contents specify the headset only, so do not assume a USB-C adapter is included. The non-Teams EncorePro 525 USB-A Stereo uses a different part number, 783R3AA.
Best For
✓ Microsoft Teams calls and meetings
✓ Contact centres and call-heavy roles
✓ Windows 10 and Windows 11 computers
✓ macOS workstations with USB-A connectivity
Key Features
Microsoft Teams certified
This exact EncorePro 525 variant carries Microsoft Teams certification, making it suitable for organisations standardising their wired headsets around Teams-based communications.
Noise-cancelling boom microphone
The boom microphone is designed to reduce surrounding noise during calls. HP specifies a 135 mm boom with 290-degree rotation and microphone bandwidth from 35 Hz to 21 kHz.
Stereo on-ear design
Two 30 mm on-ear speakers provide stereo audio with a published 20 Hz to 20 kHz speaker bandwidth. Foam-padded ear cushions keep the headset lightweight at 74 g.
SoundGuard Digital protection
Poly SoundGuard Digital acoustic protection is built into the EncorePro 525 platform to help manage potentially harmful sound exposure during professional headset use.

Singular Expert Insight
With the EncorePro 500 range, the part number matters because visually similar models differ in ear configuration, connector and Teams certification. 783R2AA is the stereo EncorePro 525 with USB-A and Microsoft Teams certification. The 783R3AA version is the closely related standard USB-A stereo model, while EncorePro 515 variants are monaural. At only 74 g, the 525 is particularly suited to desk-based users who spend much of the day on calls but still want two-ear audio coverage.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You need a lightweight stereo professional headset with USB-A, Microsoft Teams certification, a noise-cancelling boom microphone and inline call controls.
Skip it if
You need a single-ear headset, wireless mobility or native USB-C connectivity without using a separate adapter.
Check first
Confirm that your computer has USB-A or that you already have a suitable USB-A-to-USB-C adapter. HP lists only the headset in the box.
