PORT Designs Yosemite ECO 15.6" Laptop Bag — 400701
15.6"Toploading62% recycledTrolley strapGrey
Yosemite is PORT Designs’ original eco range — the French brand launched it in 2009, well before recycled materials became standard in IT luggage. This 15.6" toploading bag is made from 62% recycled r-PET and PET, is fully padded throughout, and weighs under 600 grams.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Sized for 15.6" laptops. The padded notebook compartment measures 385 x 260 x 35 mm — measure your machine against that rather than the screen size if the fit is close. The 13/14" version of the same bag is reference 400700.
Best For
✓ Business users who want a toploader rather than a backpack
✓ Buyers with a recycled-content requirement
✓ Travellers using the trolley strap on a suitcase
✓ Anyone carrying a 15.6" laptop plus documents
Key Features
62% recycled construction
PORT states the bag is made from 62% recycled materials — r-PET and PET. This is the range PORT has been building since 2009.
Padded compartment with retaining strap
The notebook compartment is padded and has a strap to hold the laptop in place rather than letting it slide.
Fully padded structure
PORT specifies padding throughout the body of the bag, not just around the laptop.
Large front accessory pocket
A quick-access front pocket, plus an internal organiser for pens and small accessories.
Removable padded shoulder strap
The adjustable shoulder strap is padded and can be detached, leaving the padded carry handles.
Trolley strap
A rear strap slides over a suitcase handle so the bag travels on the luggage.

Singular Expert Insight
Yosemite is the oldest eco range in IT luggage and it shows in the right way — this is a plain, well-padded working bag rather than a sustainability statement with a bag attached. Two caveats worth knowing: PORT published no dimensions or weight of its own and has since removed the page, and the recycled figure differs between PORT (62%) and one distributor (72%). Cite 62%, since that is the manufacturer’s own number.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
Toploader vs backpack,Top opening gets the laptop out fast. The Yosemite backpacks are 400702 (13/14") and 400703 (15.6").,Recycled content,62% is PORT’s own published figure for this bag, and the range predates most eco marketing.,Travel,Trolley strap plus removable shoulder strap makes it a workable second bag on a flight.
Skip it if
If you want the manufacturer’s own dimensions and weight in writing, PORT never published them for this reference.
