Key Features
Clear wideband conversations
EPOS Voice technology and a noise-cancelling microphone are designed for clear, natural speech during business calls. The microphone frequency response is 150–6,800 Hz, while the speakers cover 60–16,000 Hz.
Inline call management
The cable-mounted controller provides answer and end call functions, volume adjustment, microphone mute and redial of the last outgoing call without relying only on on-screen controls.
ActiveGard hearing protection
EPOS ActiveGard technology limits sudden excessive sound bursts, while the EU Noise at Work limiter provides enhanced protection designed around an average 85 dB exposure over a working day.
Lightweight double-sided design
At 66 g, the double-sided headset is designed for extended workplace use. Acoustic foam ear pads and a bendable microphone boom support comfortable positioning throughout the day.

Singular Expert Insight
The most important distinction with this model is that 1000551 is the double-sided USB version. It gives both ears wideband audio, includes the inline call controller and uses the noise-cancelling microphone found across the IMPACT 100 business range. At only 66 g, it is particularly well suited to users who spend a large part of the working day on PC or softphone calls but do not need a wireless headset.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want a lightweight stereo business headset for PC or softphone calls, with USB-A connectivity, inline controls and a noise-cancelling microphone.
Skip it if
You need a wireless headset, USB-C connectivity without an adapter, a 3.5 mm connection or direct connection to a traditional deskphone.
Also consider
The EPOS IMPACT SC 30 USB ML, part number 1000550, if you prefer a lighter single-sided design that keeps one ear open to the surrounding office.
