The QNAP RAIL-B02 is the standard-depth slide rail kit for many QNAP 1U and 2U rackmount NAS models, fitting 19-inch racks with a post depth of 443 to 815 mm and both square and round mounting holes, for anyone installing a QNAP rack NAS properly on rails instead of on a shelf.
Slide rails carry the NAS along its full depth and let you pull it out of the rack for drive or memory service without disconnecting it from the frame. Because rails are matched to the chassis of each NAS family, the key question is not the rack but the NAS model — check the list below.
Before you order: RAIL-B02 is not universal. It fits only the QNAP models listed by QNAP, and needs a rack with a nominal depth of at least 450 mm. For shallower racks QNAP specifies the RAIL-S02 kit; short-depth models such as the TS-x51DeU use other rails.

What It Means in Practice
- The rails adjust to a front-to-rear post distance of 443–815 mm, which covers most 600–1000 mm deep server cabinets.
- Works in racks with 9.5 mm square holes (cage nut type) and 7.1 mm round holes.
- At the shortest setting the rear of the rail can extend past the rear post, so leave some clearance behind the rack.
- Rack requirements from QNAP: post width at least 451 mm, panel width at least 485 mm, 465 mm hole centre-to-centre.
- Compatible models include TS-x53BU, TS-x32XU, TS-x63U, TS-x73U, TS-x77XU, TS-x83XU, TVS-x71U, TVS-x72XU and UX-800U/UX-1200U expansion units, among others listed by QNAP.
What Will Not Work
- Racks with a nominal depth under 450 mm — use QNAP RAIL-S02 instead.
- QNAP models not on the compatibility list, including short-depth TS-x51DeU units.
- Other brands of NAS or servers — the rails are shaped for QNAP chassis.
- 2-post racks — slide rails need front and rear posts.
