R-Go Steel Basic Laptop Stand — a fixed steel riser for a healthier screen height
Fixed 110 mm height10–22 inch laptopsMax 5 kgSteel · Silver
The R-Go Steel Basic (RGOSC010) is a fixed-height steel laptop stand that raises a 10 to 22 inch notebook so the screen sits closer to eye level, encouraging a more upright working posture. It suits anyone who works at a desk for long periods with a separate keyboard and mouse.
R-Go Tools designs ergonomic office products in the Netherlands, and the Steel Basic is made there from a single bent steel frame with an industrial look. It weighs only 300 g and has no moving parts to adjust or wear out.
Before you order: The height is fixed at 110 mm and cannot be adjusted or folded. Raising the laptop means typing on its built-in keyboard becomes uncomfortable, so plan on an external keyboard and mouse.
What's in the Box
- R-Go Steel Basic laptop stand (silver)
What It Means in Practice
- Place the laptop on the frame; it lifts the rear of the computer to 110 mm and tilts the screen towards you.
- With an external keyboard and mouse you look straight ahead rather than down, which reduces neck strain over a working day.
- The open steel frame leaves the underside of the laptop exposed to air.
- At 265 x 255 mm the footprint is compact enough for small desks and hot-desk positions.
What Will Not Work
- Height or angle adjustment — choose an adjustable stand if several people of different heights share the desk.
- Travel use — the frame does not fold.
- Laptops heavier than 5 kg.
- Typing comfortably on the laptop’s own keyboard while it is raised.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The Steel Basic is a no-fuss, rigid stand for one user at one desk: set it down, put the laptop on it and add a keyboard and mouse. If you need adjustable height or want to carry the stand, a different model is the better choice. To turn the raised laptop into a full workstation, add a dock from our laptop docking stations.
✓ Buy it if you want a fixed, sturdy stand that lifts a 10–22 inch laptop to a better viewing height.
✕ Skip it if you need adjustable height or a foldable travel stand.
→ Also consider an external keyboard and mouse, and a USB-C dock for single-cable desk connection.
