The Rackmount.IT RM-ZN-T1 is a 19″ rackmount kit made for the Zyxel USG FLEX 50H, 50HP, 100H and 100HP. These appliances are desktop units with an external power supply; the kit gives the appliance a secure, professional place in a standard rack. An optical fibre lens brings the status light to the front, so you can check the appliance at a glance without opening the rack, and you keep access to all ports. The external power supply is fixed to the rack as well, so it cannot fall or be pulled loose. Rackmount.IT states that assembly takes less than three minutes: slide the appliance in, secure it, connect the cables and fix the power supply. In practice it turns a desk-top Zyxel firewall into a tidy rack-mounted device.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Model-specific kit. It is made for the Zyxel USG FLEX 50H, 50HP, 100H and 100HP and does not fit other models of the same brand — the headline list is the H and HP models; for older non-H USG FLEX 50/100 units, ask us first. The appliance itself is not included.
