The Rackmount.IT RM-UB-T8 is a 19-inch 1U rack mount kit for Ubiquiti UniFi desktop gateways and compact switches: the UniFi Cloud Gateway Max (UCG-Max), Cloud Gateway Ultra (UCG-Ultra), Switch Ultra (USW-Ultra) and the USW-Flex-2.5-8 and USW-Flex-2.5-8-PoE switches. It turns these small desktop units into a tidy 1U rack installation with front-facing ports.
The devices are held by retainers, the external power supply is fixed inside the kit, and the connections are brought to the front through keystones with the internal cables included. The kit can also be mounted reversed, so the ports face the rear of the rack if your cabling runs that way.
Before you order: Rackmount.IT lists this kit for UCG-Max, UCG-Ultra, USW-Ultra, USW-Flex-2.5-8 and USW-Flex-2.5-8-PoE. For UCG-Fiber, UXG-Fiber or CloudKey+ use the RM-UB-T9. Send us your device model and we will confirm.

What It Means in Practice
- A UCG-Ultra or UCG-Max gateway looks and works like a rack appliance, with ports patched from the front.
- A small USW-Flex 2.5 switch can sit in the rack next to the gateway instead of on the cabinet floor.
- The power supply is fixed in place, so nothing hangs loose behind the equipment.
- Reverse mounting lets you put the ports at the back when that suits the cabinet layout.
What Will Not Work
- It does not fit UCG-Fiber, UXG-Fiber, CloudKey+ or Dream Machine models; check the RM-UB-T9 or ask us.
- It does not include the UniFi devices or rack patch cables.
- It needs a standard 19-inch rack with 1U free and about 217 mm depth.
- Rackmount.IT does not publish keystone count or type on the product page; check with us if you need a specific layout.
