ICY BOX IB-HUB1430-CR — In-Desk Hub with Card Reader, Audio and Mains Socket
Fits 80 mm desk cut-out2 × USB-A + 1 × USB-CSD + microSD reader230 V socket, max 2000 W
The ICY BOX IB-HUB1430-CR is a hub that lives inside the desk: it drops into a standard 80 mm cable-grommet hole (table tops up to 45 mm thick) and puts two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB-C port, an SD and a microSD slot, headphone and microphone jacks and a 230 V EU mains socket flush with the surface. A 1.4 m integrated USB-A cable, the audio leads and a Schuko plug run underneath to the PC and the wall. Part number IB-HUB1430-CR is bus-powered, with an optional 5 V / 4 A DC input for heavy loads; the adapter is not included.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Needs an 80 mm round hole in the desk (the standard grommet size) and a table thickness of up to 45 mm. The host cable is USB-A — USB-C-only laptops need an adapter (not included). The power socket is a plain mains pass-through: it does not power the USB ports and the hub does not charge a laptop. The USB-C port is data only, no video. Three USB ports in total, not four.
Best For
✓ Meeting-room and boardroom tables
✓ Reception desks with a clean surface
✓ Hot-desks that need cards, USB and mains at hand
✓ Home offices with a built-in cable grommet
✓ Studios plugging headsets in from the desktop
✓ Photographers offloading SD cards without reaching behind the PC
Key Features
Everything at the desk surface
Two USB-A and one USB-C port at 5 Gbps, SD and microSD slots (UHS-I), a headphone and a microphone jack and a Schuko socket rated to 2000 W — all in one flush 80 mm module with a cover cap for when it is not in use.
Installs in a standard grommet hole
Designed for an 80 mm cut-out and desks up to 45 mm thick; a ring nut screws it tight from below. The 1.4 m USB cable and audio leads reach a PC on the floor.
Bus-powered, with an option
Runs from the host USB port; for charging or several bus-hungry devices a 5 V / 4 A DC adapter can be added (3.5 × 1.45 mm jack, sold separately). Plug & play on Windows and macOS.

Singular Expert Insight
This is a furniture product as much as a hub: choose it when the goal is a tidy meeting table where people can plug in a USB stick, an SD card or a laptop charger without crawling under the desk. Compared with the four-port IB-HUB1430 it is the better fit for anyone who handles memory cards or USB-C accessories. Do not expect docking-station features — for video and laptop charging see our docking stations. Conventional desk hubs are in our USB hubs. Not sure it fits your setup? Tell us your laptop or PC model and what you want to plug in and we will check it before you order.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You have (or can cut) an 80 mm hole in a desk up to 45 mm thick and want USB-A, USB-C, SD/microSD, audio and a mains socket flush with the surface.
Skip it if
You need more than three USB ports, a laptop charged through the hub, HDMI, or a portable hub — this one is bolted into the furniture and its host cable is USB-A.
Also consider
ICY BOX IB-HUB1430 (four USB-A, no card reader); D-Link DUB-2325 for a portable USB-C hub with SD/microSD; ICY BOX IB-HUB1742CR-C2PD for a powered desk hub with card reader and charging.
