Rain Design mBar — a minimalist aluminium bar that lifts and tilts your laptop by 75 mm
Fixed laptop stand75 mm liftAnodized aluminiumSilver
The Rain Design mBar (10080, silver) is a minimalist anodized-aluminium laptop stand that raises and tilts a MacBook or similar laptop by a fixed 75 mm, for users who want a cleaner, slightly higher and angled typing position without any moving parts.
There is nothing to adjust: the laptop rests on the bar at the back and the front edge on your desk, so the keyboard tilts towards you and air can circulate under the chassis. The finish is designed to match silver MacBooks.
Before you order: mBar has a fixed height and fixed angle. It lifts the back of the laptop by 75 mm only — it will not bring the screen to eye level the way an adjustable riser does.
What's in the Box
- 1 x Rain Design mBar laptop stand (silver, 10080)
What It Means in Practice
- Gives a gentle typing angle that many people find more comfortable than a flat laptop.
- Lifting the rear lets air flow under the laptop.
- No hinges or screws — nothing to loosen or rattle.
- Rain Design also lists it for 9.7" iPad and 10.5"/12.9" iPad Pro in landscape.
What Will Not Work
- No height or angle adjustment.
- Not foldable — it is a desk accessory, not a travel stand.
- Does not raise the display to eye level; for that, use an adjustable riser with an external keyboard.
- The silver finish is this variant only — order 10081 if you want Space Gray.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
mBar is for people who still type on the laptop keyboard but want it angled and a little cooler — it is a comfort upgrade, not an ergonomic monitor-height solution. If you work at a desk for hours, combine an adjustable riser with an external keyboard, or connect the laptop to a monitor through one of our docking stations.
✓ Buy it if you want a simple, solid aluminium tilt for your MacBook or laptop with nothing to adjust.
✕ Skip it if you need eye-level screen height, adjustability or a foldable travel stand.
→ Also consider an adjustable aluminium riser for full ergonomic positioning.
