The Rittal DK 5501.815 is an air baffle plate kit for TS IT enclosures 800 mm wide and 2000 mm high with 19-inch profile frames, used in server racks to separate the cold intake side from the warm exhaust side.
The plates close the gaps between the 19-inch level and the enclosure walls, so cooled air must pass through the equipment instead of flowing around it. Brush strips all round allow cables and busbar systems to pass through the partition.
Before you order: For TS IT enclosures 800 mm wide × 2000 mm high with 19-inch profile frames only. Versions exist for 600 mm wide enclosures, for 19-inch mounting frames and for VX IT — tell us your enclosure part number.

What It Means in Practice
- Stops warm exhaust air from recirculating to the front of the servers.
- Makes cold-aisle containment and rack cooling units work as intended.
- Cables can still pass through the brush strips without leaving open gaps.
- The included 1U blanking panels close unused rack units in the same step.
What Will Not Work
- It will not fit 600 mm wide enclosures (use DK 5501.805).
- It is not for TS IT enclosures with 19-inch mounting frames, or for VX IT (DK 5302.015).
- It does not cool anything by itself; it only directs the airflow.
