Rittal DK 7200.215 — IEC C14 to C13 Extension Cable, 1.8 m, for CMC III

C14 → C131.8 m1 mm² · 3-pole230 V

The Rittal DK 7200.215 is a 1.8 m IEC extension cable with a C14 plug on one end and a C13 socket on the other, made by Rittal for its CMC III monitoring power packs and equally at home as a power jumper inside a 19" rack. It uses 3 × 1 mm² conductors in a PVC sheath and is rated 230 V (110 V DC).

Inside a rack, C14-to-C13 leads are the standard way to connect a device’s IEC inlet to a PDU or UPS outlet. Rittal lists this part as the extension cable for the CMC III system, so it is the correct lead when a CMC III power pack has to reach an IEC outlet further away.

The C14 end is a plug, not a wall plug: it goes into a C13-style outlet such as a rack PDU or UPS. It cannot be plugged into a Schuko wall socket.

Before you order: The C14 end fits C13 outlets on PDUs and UPS units, not wall sockets. For a Schuko wall socket you need the Rittal DK 7200.210 instead.

What's in the Box

  • 1 × Rittal DK 7200.215 IEC C14–C13 extension cable, 1.8 m
  • Packaging unit: 1 piece

What It Means in Practice

  • Typical use: from a rack PDU (C13 outlet) to a CMC III power pack or any device with a C14 inlet.
  • 1.8 m reaches from a vertical PDU at the back of a 42U cabinet to most devices in the same rack.
  • It also extends an existing C13 power cord where the original lead is too short.
  • Keep spare length coiled loosely and away from the air intake of servers and switches.

What Will Not Work

  • It does not plug into a wall socket (Schuko / type F) — use the 7200.210 for that.
  • It does not fit C19/C20 inlets used by large UPS units and high-power servers.
  • It is not a surge protector or PDU — it is a plain cable.
  • Rittal does not publish a rated current for this part, so do not use it for loads above what a standard 1 mm² C13 lead is intended for.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference from the Rittal 7200.210?
The 7200.210 has a Schuko (CEE 7/4, type F) wall plug and a C13 socket — it connects to a wall socket. The 7200.215 has a C14 plug — it connects to a PDU or UPS outlet.
Can I use it with non-Rittal equipment?
Yes, C13/C14 are standard IEC connectors used by switches, servers, monitors and PDUs.
Is it suitable for a UPS output?
Yes, if the UPS has C13 outlets. It does not fit C19 outlets.
Does it include a locking clip?
Rittal does not list a locking mechanism, so treat it as a standard push-fit IEC lead.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
In racks, the wrong plug type is the most common reason a power lead does not fit on the day of installation. Count your PDU outlets and device inlets first: C14-to-C13 like this one is for PDU-to-device links, while Schuko-to-C13 is for wall sockets. Browse our rack accessories for PDUs, shelves and cable management.
✓ Buy it if you need a 1.8 m C14–C13 lead from a PDU or UPS to a CMC III power pack or any IEC device.
✕ Skip it if you need to plug into a wall socket (take 7200.210) or into a C19 outlet.
→ Also consider Rittal DK 7200.210 (Schuko to C13, 1.8 m).
Tell us your PDU and device models and we will confirm the right power lead before you order.
