The Rittal DK 7151.305 is a 19-inch blanking panel, 3U high and divisible into three 1U sections, that clips into the rack with integral quick-fasteners and no tools — supplied as a pack of three panels in matt black RAL 9005 plastic.
Blanking panels close unused rack units so that cool air is forced through your equipment instead of short-circuiting around it through the gaps. In a partly filled rack that is one of the simplest ways to lower equipment temperatures. Each panel can be split into 1U pieces, so one pack covers gaps of 1, 2 or 3U.
Before you order: Rittal specifies the panel for the 482.6 mm (19") mounting level but does not list specific enclosure series. It is plastic and non-load-bearing: it only covers space, it does not hold equipment.

- Close every empty U in the front of a rack to stop hot exhaust air being drawn back into the equipment intakes.

- A pack of three gives up to 9U of coverage.
What Will Not Work
- It will not support any weight — do not rest equipment on it.
- It is not a vented or brush panel; for cable pass-through use a brush panel instead.
- Rittal does not publish fit for non-19" or 10" racks.
- It will not fit where the 19" rail has no square or system punching for the clip.
