Rittal DK 5501.625 Component Shelf, 2U, 400 mm Deep, 25 kg
2U · 19"400 mm deep25 kg staticRAL 9005
The Rittal DK 5501.625 is a 2U component shelf for static installation in 19-inch racks, 482.6 mm wide and 400 mm deep, carrying a surface load of up to 25 kg — spray-finished sheet steel in black RAL 9005, for placing non-rackmount devices such as modems, routers, small NAS units and power supplies inside a Rittal network or server enclosure.
Rittal specifies it for attachment to the 19" system punchings, mounted between the 482.6 mm (19") mounting angles. It is a static shelf: Rittal notes it is not suitable for combination with telescopic slides.
Before you order: Rittal does not state whether screws or cage nuts are included, nor list specific enclosure series. If you are adding it to an existing rack, check that you have M6 mounting hardware — or tell us your enclosure model and we will confirm.
What's in the Box
- 1 × component shelf 2U, 400 mm deep, RAL 9005 (pack of 1)
What It Means in Practice
- A 2U shelf with a raised front gives a stable base for light network devices without rack ears.
- 400 mm depth suits modems, routers, small switches and NAS units — not deep tower servers.
- 25 kg surface load covers most networking equipment placed on a shelf.
- Black RAL 9005 matches Rittal and most black 19" enclosures.
What Will Not Work
- It will not work on telescopic slides — it is for static installation only.
- It is not deep enough to support long devices such as tower servers or deep UPS units fully.
- It will not hold loads above 25 kg.
- Mounting hardware is not listed in the scope of delivery, so do not count on it being in the box.

Frequently Asked Questions
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
A 400 mm component shelf is the right size for the small devices that end up in every network cabinet — ISP modem, firewall, NVR. For deeper or heavier equipment, move up to a full-depth 4-point shelf. Browse other shelves, panels and cable managers in our rack accessories range.
✓ Buy it if you need a sturdy 2U shelf for light network devices in a 19" rack, ideally a Rittal enclosure.
✕ Skip it if you need a pull-out shelf, more than 25 kg, or full-depth support for long devices.
→ Also consider a full-depth 4-point shelf for servers and UPS units.
Tell us your enclosure model and the devices you want to place, and we will confirm fit and hardware.
