The Rittal 2094500 is a pack of 50 M5 captive nuts with contact for fastening 482.6 mm (19") equipment and blanking plates to 19" mounting angles and profile rails, for sheet thicknesses from 0.8 to 2.5 mm. Rittal lists it as an EL series accessory ("EL 2094.500") for rack-mounted electronic equipment in cabinets and racks.
The "with contact" design creates an electrical contact between the installed equipment and the 19" section, which is useful where the front panels of devices should be bonded to the rack frame.
Before you order: Rittal makes these nuts in several versions that look almost identical: M5 or M6 thread, with or without contact. This is M5 with contact. For M6 with contact order Rittal 2094200; for M6 without contact order 2092200. Check the thread of your screws and whether you need contact before ordering.

What It Means in Practice
- Use them wherever a 19" device, shelf or blanking plate is fastened to square-hole mounting angles with M5 screws.
- The 0.8–2.5 mm clamping range covers the typical sheet thickness of 19" mounting angles and profile rails.

- With contact: the nut bonds the device front to the 19" section, which supports a continuous earth path through the rack frame.
What Will Not Work
