Rittal SK 5503.020 — Roof-Mounted Fan Module for 800 mm Wide VX IT, TS IT and TX CableNet Enclosures
Roof mount2 fans, up to 6100–240 VRAL 7035
The Rittal SK 5503.020 is a roof-mounted fan module with two speed-controlled fans, designed for Rittal VX IT, TS IT and TX CableNet network and server enclosures that are 800 mm wide, for data rooms that need to extract warm air from the top of the rack.
It fits directly into the cut-out in the enclosure roof panel, runs on 100–240 V, and can be expanded from two to six fans with the Rittal SK 7990000 fan expansion kit as the heat load grows.
Before you order: Fits only 800 mm wide VX IT, TS IT and TX CableNet enclosures with 800, 1000 or 1200 mm depth, using the roof cut-out. It is not a 19-inch 1U fan tray. The power cable and thermostat are separate accessories.
What's in the Box
- 1 × fan module, pre-wired, finished in RAL 7035
- 2 × fans fitted
- Assembly components
- Installation guide
- Not included: roof plate, connection cable (SK 7200215) and thermostat (SK 3110000)
What It Means in Practice
- Warm air collects at the top of a closed enclosure, so a roof module removes it where it builds up.
- Start with two fans and add up to four more with SK 7990000 when you add servers.
- Without the optional thermostat the fans run on their preset speed curve continuously.
- The multi-voltage input (100–240 V) means one part number works on any mains supply.
What Will Not Work
- It will not fit 600 mm wide enclosures or cabinets from other brands.
- It will not mount on 19-inch rails.
- It does not include a mains cable — order the Rittal SK 7200215 connection cable or use a suitable IEC cable.
- It has no built-in thermostat.

The fan module is only one part of the order: the connection cable and thermostat are separate, and the enclosure width decides whether it fits at all. For air baffles, blanking panels and other rack hardware see our rack accessories range.
