Samsung 16 GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM — genuine Samsung, for a laptop
16 GBDDR4-3200SODIMM — laptopNon-ECC, unbuffered
The M471A2K43EB1-CWE is a genuine Samsung Semiconductor memory module: 16 GB of DDR4-3200 in the 260-pin SODIMM form factor, which is the size laptops, mini-PCs and small-form-factor machines use. It is a 2Rx8 dual-rank module running at 1.2 V, unbuffered and non-ECC — the ordinary configuration for consumer and business laptops.
Compatibility — check before buying:
???? Check three things before ordering. Memory is the component people most often buy in the wrong shape.
1. SODIMM, not DIMM. This is the short module used in laptops, mini-PCs, all-in-ones and NUC-style machines. It is physically shorter than a desktop DIMM and will not fit a desktop motherboard. If your machine is a tower, you need a UDIMM instead.
2. DDR4, not DDR5. DDR4 and DDR5 SODIMMs look almost identical and have nearly the same pin count — but they are keyed differently and are not interchangeable. A DDR4 module will not fit a DDR5 slot and vice versa. Check your machine’s specification, or the label on the module already in it.
3. Not every laptop has a slot. A large number of thin laptops — and almost every ultrabook — have their memory soldered to the mainboard and cannot be upgraded at all. Some have one soldered bank and one slot. Look up your exact model before buying.
⭐ A 2Rx8 dual-rank module is generally the one you want. Dual-rank memory is modestly faster than single-rank at the same speed, because the controller can interleave between ranks. It is not a large difference, but it is free.
ℹ️ It will run at whatever speed your laptop supports. DDR4 modules are backward compatible: in a machine that tops out at DDR4-2666, this module runs at 2666. It works perfectly — it simply will not run faster than the system allows. Buying 3200 is still sensible, because the module carries forward to a faster machine.
⚠️ This is an OEM component part, and that has consequences. It ships as a bare green PCB in bulk or tray packaging — no retail box, no heatspreader, no accessories. More importantly, Samsung publishes no warranty term for its DRAM modules at all; its published warranty statements cover only consumer storage. Cover on this part is whatever the seller provides — here, Singular’s 1-year warranty.
⚠️ No XMP or EXPO profile. This is a JEDEC-specification module. It runs at its rated speed and timings and offers no overclocking profile. If you want tuned enthusiast memory with a heatspreader and an XMP profile, this is not that product — and in a laptop, neither is anything else.

Best For
✓ Upgrading a laptop that has an accessible DDR4 SODIMM slot
✓ Mini-PCs, NUCs and all-in-ones
✓ A second module to complete a dual-channel pair
✓ Anyone who wants genuine Samsung silicon rather than a rebadged module
Key Features
16 GB in a single module
Enough on its own for almost any everyday workload, and it leaves a second slot free if your machine has one. Two of these gives 32 GB in dual channel.
Genuine Samsung Semiconductor
Samsung makes its own DRAM. This is a module built by the company that makes the chips on it, rather than a third-party assembler buying dies on the open market.
DDR4-3200 — the top of the DDR4 range
3,200 Mbps is the fastest speed grade Samsung publishes for DDR4, at 25.6 GB/s peak bandwidth. It will also run at slower speeds in older machines.
2Rx8 dual rank at 1.2 V
Sixteen 1G×8 devices across two ranks. Dual-rank interleaving gives a small free performance gain over a single-rank module of the same capacity and speed.
⚠️ Bare OEM module, no warranty published by Samsung
No heatspreader, no retail box, and Samsung publishes no DRAM warranty term. Singular’s 1-year warranty applies.

Singular Expert Insight
This is a straightforward, genuine Samsung module, and the only hard part of buying memory is getting the shape right. Three checks, in order: it must be a SODIMM machine (laptop or mini-PC, not a desktop tower), it must be DDR4 rather than DDR5, and the machine must actually have a slot — a great many modern thin laptops have their memory soldered down and cannot be upgraded at all. Get those three right and the rest is easy. On the specification itself there is little to debate: 16 GB is the right single-module capacity for almost everyone, 2Rx8 dual rank is modestly faster than single rank for free, and DDR4-3200 is the top of the DDR4 range and will simply run slower in an older machine rather than refusing to work. Two things to set expectations on. It is a bare OEM module — green PCB, bulk packaging, no heatspreader, no XMP profile, because none of those matter in a laptop. And Samsung publishes no warranty on its DRAM modules, so the cover here is ours rather than the manufacturer’s. Browse our laptops and tablets or our internal SSDs if you are upgrading storage at the same time.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You have a laptop or mini-PC with a free DDR4 SODIMM slot and you want genuine Samsung memory at the top DDR4 speed grade.
Skip it if
Your machine is a desktop (you need a UDIMM), takes DDR5, or has soldered memory — check before ordering.
Also consider
A second identical module for dual channel, and an SSD if the machine is also short on storage — the two upgrades together transform an older laptop.
