Samsung Galaxy A18 — 6.7" AMOLED 4G Smartphone, 4GB / 128GB, Black
4G LTE6.7" Super AMOLED50MP triple camera5000mAh · 25W
The Samsung Galaxy A18 (SM-A185F, Black, 4GB RAM / 128GB) is a 4G LTE Android smartphone with a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen, a 50MP main camera and a 5000mAh battery, aimed at buyers who want a large, sharp display and long software support at an entry-level price. It runs Android 17 with One UI 9 out of the box, and Samsung commits to six OS upgrades and security updates until 31 October 2032.
This is the European-market (DE) unit with dual nano-SIM, NFC for contactless payments, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3. The 128GB storage can be expanded with a microSD card of up to 2TB, which makes it a sensible choice for a first smartphone, a business handset for field staff, or a reliable second phone. It is 4G only — if you specifically need 5G, look at the 5G models in our range.
Before you order: The A18 is a 4G LTE phone, not 5G. The SIM tray is hybrid: you can use two nano-SIMs, or one nano-SIM plus a microSD card — not two SIMs and a card at the same time. eSIM is not listed by Samsung for this model.
What's in the Box
- Samsung Galaxy A18 handset (SM-A185F/DS), Black, 4GB RAM / 128GB
- USB-C data cable
- SIM ejection pin and quick start documentation
- A wall charger is not listed in the box — use any USB-C PD charger; 25W is the maximum the phone accepts
What It Means in Practice
- The 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel at 1080 × 2340 gives deep blacks and good outdoor readability, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the front.
- 4GB RAM is enough for messaging, maps, banking, email and social apps; heavy multitasking or demanding 3D games will reload apps more often than on a 6GB or 8GB phone.
- 128GB storage (about 109.5GB free out of the box) plus microSD up to 2TB means photos and videos can be moved to a card instead of filling the phone.
- 5000mAh battery rated for at least 1,200 full charge cycles; with a 25W charger Samsung quotes about 50% in 30 minutes.
- IP64 means protection against dust and water splashes — not submersion. Do not take it swimming or rinse it under a tap.
What Will Not Work
- No 5G: on a 5G-only plan or in a 5G-only area the phone will use 4G LTE.
- No 3.5 mm headphone jack: wired headphones need a USB-C headset or a USB-C to 3.5 mm adapter; Bluetooth headphones work normally.
- No eSIM listed: if your operator only issues eSIM profiles, choose a model with eSIM support.
- Not water-resistant for immersion (IP64, not IP68).
- No optical zoom: the 10x zoom is digital only, so distant subjects lose detail.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The Galaxy A18 is the phone we recommend when the brief is simple: a big, bright screen, a battery that lasts a working day and a phone that will still receive updates in 2032. Plan for a charger if you do not have one — see our USB-C phone chargers — and budget for a case and screen protector.
✓ Buy it if you want a dependable large-screen Android phone with long update support for everyday use, a first smartphone or a company handset.
✕ Skip it if you need 5G, eSIM, water immersion protection or heavy gaming performance.
→ Also consider a Galaxy model with 5G and 6–8GB RAM if you keep many apps open or plan to keep the phone for many years.
