The Samsung Galaxy Buds4 Pro (SM-R640NZKAEUB) are Samsung’s flagship canal-fit earbuds in Black, built around a dual 2-way driver in each bud — a separate woofer and tweeter with their own amplifiers — and adaptive active noise cancelling fed by six microphones plus a voice pickup unit. They run Bluetooth 6.1 with LE Audio and Auracast, and carry Samsung’s SSC-UHQ codec for 24-bit/96 kHz playback from a Galaxy source. Playback runs to 6 hours with ANC on and 26 hours in total with the charging case.
Compatibility — check before buying:
These are the canal-fit Pro model. The near-identical Galaxy Buds4 (SM-R540) is open-fit and does not seal the ear, so it cannot cancel noise the same way — if noise cancelling is why you are buying, the Pro is the one you need. No USB Type-C cable is included and no wireless charging pad is included, although the case charges wirelessly on a Qi pad you already own. The IP57 rating covers the earbuds only — the charging case is not rated, so keep it out of the rain. The buds pair as standard Bluetooth audio with any phone, tablet or laptop, but the Galaxy Wearable app, and with it the EQ, ANC modes and firmware updates, requires Android 12 or later with at least 1.5 GB of RAM. Language note: on Samsung’s own Greek product page, the AI Interpreter and the voice AI assistant are marked as not supporting Greek. Playback, calls and noise cancelling work in any language.

Dual 2-way drivers
Each earbud carries a separate 11 × 3.5 mm woofer and a 5.5 × 3.5 × 0.9 mm tweeter, each with its own amplifier. Bass and treble are handled by different drivers instead of one full-range unit, which is the structural reason these sound different from ordinary earbuds.
Adaptive noise cancelling
Six microphones (three per bud) plus a voice pickup unit drive adaptive noise reduction, with Voice Detect to pause when you speak and Siren Detect to let emergency sounds through. A 9-band adaptive EQ and 360 Audio are included.
Bluetooth 6.1 with LE Audio
Bluetooth 6.1 with LE Audio and Auracast, and codec support for SSC, SSC-UHQ (24-bit/96 kHz), AAC, SBC and LC3. The 24-bit path needs a Galaxy source; other phones fall back to AAC or SBC.

61 mAh per earbud and 530 mAh in the case: 6 hours of playback with ANC on and 26 hours with the case, or 7 and 30 hours with ANC off. The case supports wireless charging.
