Samsung 140 W USB-C Power Adapter — PD 3.1, single port, laptop-class output
140 W PD 3.1Single USB-C port28 V PDONo cable in box
The EP-TB410 is Samsung’s 140 W USB-C power adapter in white — a laptop-class charger built around USB Power Delivery 3.1, with a single USB-C port. Samsung publishes the full PDO list: 5 V / 3 A at normal speed, and 9 V, 15 V, 20 V and 28 V for fast charging, at up to 5 A on the two higher rails. The N in the part number means no cable is included — Samsung’s own service name for it is literally “140W Power Adapter (TA only, W/O Cable)”. It measures 85 × 114 × 28 mm and weighs about 299 g.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Two things you must read before ordering. Both change what you actually get.
1. The cable decides whether you see 140 W. Samsung publishes this itself: a 5A USB-C cable carries up to 100 W, and only a 5A-E cable carries the full 140 W. Both have an E-Marker chip inside; the connector housing is embossed 5A or 5A-E so you can check yours. Samsung does not sell a standalone 5A-E cable — its EP-DX510J accessory cable is the 5A / 100 W type — and the only 5A-E cable it names is the one supplied in the Galaxy Book Ultra box. If you buy this adapter on its own and use an existing cable, expect 100 W, not 140 W. Ask us before ordering if the full figure matters.
2. This is the EU two-pin part. The GWW suffix is Samsung’s European version, with a two-pin europlug. Cyprus uses BS 1363 three-pin sockets, so you will need a plug adapter. Samsung’s UK three-pin part is EP-TB410NWEGGB — a different mould, 20 g heavier. Tell us which you want.

Best For
✓ A Galaxy Book Ultra or other USB-C laptop that needs more than 100 W
✓ Replacing a bulky laptop brick with one small charger
✓ A desk or travel charger that covers laptop, tablet and phone
✓ Anyone who already owns a 5A-E rated USB-C cable
Key Features
140 W over USB Power Delivery 3.1
This is laptop territory, not phone territory. Samsung publishes “PD 3.1 PDO max. 140 W” with a 28 V rail at 5 A. The 28 V step is what USB-IF calls Extended Power Range — Samsung publishes the voltage but never uses the term, so we explain it rather than quote it.
One port, and Samsung says why
Samsung’s own headline for it is “single port, wide compatibility”. There is no second socket to split power with, which is the trade: a laptop gets the whole 140 W rather than half of it.
GaN — claimed, but only on one Samsung page
Samsung’s German business page lists “GaN Technologie” among this adapter’s features. Its Swedish, Dutch, Polish and UK pages do not mention GaN at all. We report it as Samsung’s claim on that page rather than as a range-wide specification — and unlike some other Samsung chargers, here the claim does come from Samsung and not a retailer.
It charges phones too, and other makers’ devices
Samsung states it works with the Galaxy Book Ultra “and also with smartphones or tablets, including those from other manufacturers” — unusually open wording for a Samsung accessory. On Galaxy phones it delivers Super Fast Charging 2.0 at up to 60 W; the 140 W ceiling is for laptops.
No cable in the box — by design
The N suffix means adapter only. That is fine if you already have the right cable and a real problem if you do not. See the compatibility note above: the cable rating, not the adapter, is what caps you at 100 W or lets you reach 140 W.

Singular Expert Insight
This is one of the few Samsung accessories where the box you receive is genuinely not the whole product. A 140 W adapter with no cable, in a world where most USB-C cables are rated for 60 W or 100 W, will quietly deliver 100 W and never tell you why. Samsung deserves credit for documenting the 5A versus 5A-E distinction clearly — and then rather undercuts it by not selling a 5A-E cable of its own. So the practical advice is: budget for a 240 W-rated USB-C cable alongside this, and check the embossing on any cable you already own. Beyond that it is a genuinely useful thing — one small white brick that runs a USB-C laptop, a tablet and a phone, including non-Samsung ones, which Samsung states outright. Browse our mobile phone chargers for smaller adapters, or laptop power supplies if you need a traditional brick.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You have a USB-C laptop that wants more than 100 W — a Galaxy Book Ultra in particular — and you either own a 5A-E cable or will buy one.
Skip it if
You only charge a phone (a 25 W or 45 W adapter is smaller and cheaper), you need more than one port, or you need a cable in the box.
Also consider
A 240 W-rated (5A-E) USB-C cable to go with it, Samsung’s 45 W adapter if this is only for a phone or tablet, or a multi-port charger if you need to charge several devices at once.
