SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Go 512GB Absinthe Green — USB-C and USB-A
400 MB/s readUSB-C and USB-AAbsinthe Green512 GB
The SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Go in Absinthe Green, part number SDDDC3-512G-G46AG, carries a USB-C connector at one end and a USB-A connector at the other on a swivel body. It holds 512 GB and reads at 400 MB/s. Like the other shells in this line, the colour is the only thing that sets it apart — every figure below is shared with the black, Lavender and Navagio Bay versions.
Compatibility — check before buying:
If you are comparing datasheets, use the current one. SanDisk hosts colour-named PDFs for this line, including an Absinthe Green file, and those documents stop at 256 GB and quote a slower 150 MB/s for the 64 GB drive than the current general datasheet does. The general datasheet is the one that covers 512 GB, and it gives 400 MB/s. Both connectors are on the drive, so no adapter is needed for a USB-C phone or a USB-A laptop — but not for a Lightning iPhone, which needs the Phone Drive for iPhone. No write speed is published. In the box: the drive alone.
Best For
✓ Moving files between a phone and a laptop
✓ Machines with a mix of USB-C and USB-A ports
✓ A drive that is easy to spot in a bag
✓ Backing up an Android camera roll
✓ Carrying a media library between devices
✓ Households that share drives and need to tell them apart
Key Features
The colour is the only difference
SanDisk publishes one datasheet for the Dual Drive Go and documents no performance or build difference between the shells. Absinthe Green performs exactly as the black version does. We would rather say that than let a colour carry an implication it has not earned.
400 MB/s read at 512 GB
This line does change speed with capacity, unlike some others: 150 MB/s at 32 GB, 300 at 64 GB, and 400 MB/s from 128 GB upwards. At 512 GB you are at the top. Do not carry that number down to the smaller drives in the same family.
Two connectors, no cap
USB-C for phones, tablets and modern laptops; USB-A for older machines, televisions and car stereos. The swivel body protects whichever end is idle, and there is nothing removable to misplace.
3.5 grams, 0 to 45 degrees Celsius
Light enough to leave hanging off a phone during a backup and small enough for a keyring. The rated operating range covers normal indoor and outdoor use, though not a car interior in a Cyprus August.

Singular Expert Insight
The trap on this line is not the colour, it is the paperwork. SanDisk still hosts colour-named datasheets that were written when the range topped out at 256 GB, and anyone quoting one of them will publish a slower speed than the drive actually has. The current general datasheet is what this page uses. Beyond that, Absinthe Green, Lavender, Navagio Bay and black are one product with four shells, and the real decision is plastic here against metal in the Dual Drive Luxe at the same 400 MB/s. For large regular transfers, an external SSD is the honest step up, because it publishes a write speed and none of these drives do.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want 512 GB with both connectors on one body at 400 MB/s, and the green shell makes the drive easy to pick out of a bag or a shared drawer.
Skip it if
Your iPhone uses Lightning, or you want metal instead of plastic — the Dual Drive Luxe is the metal version at the same speed.
Also consider
The same drive in Lavender, Navagio Bay or black is identical on every figure. The Dual Drive Luxe is the all-metal alternative.
