SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Luxe 128 GB — all metal, 400 MB/s, USB-C
Up to 400 MB/s readUSB Type-C + USB Type-AAll-metal casing128 GB
The SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Luxe is a 128 GB flash drive with a USB Type-C connector at one end and a full-size USB-A at the other, in a cast all-metal body — part number SDDDC4-128G-G46. Plug the USB-C end into a phone or tablet, the USB-A end into any computer, and move files directly with no cable and no cloud account. SanDisk rates this capacity at up to 400 MB/s read. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This drive needs a phone or tablet with a USB-C port and OTG support, which covers essentially every recent Android device and iPhone 15 or later. It will not work with a Lightning iPhone (iPhone 14 and earlier) or a micro-USB phone. The 400 MB/s figure needs a USB 3.0 or faster port; in an old USB 2.0 socket it still works, at USB 2.0 speed. Note that speed varies by capacity across this range — the 32 GB reads at up to 150 MB/s, not 400.
Best For
✓ Pulling 4K video and photo libraries off a phone quickly
✓ Freeing up phone storage without paying for cloud space
✓ Moving large files between a USB-C laptop and an older USB-A desktop
✓ A drive that lives on a keyring and has to survive it
✓ Handing a client a drive that looks and feels solid
✓ Anyone who found a cheap USB-C stick painfully slow
Key Features
Up to 400 MB/s read
SanDisk publishes 400 MB/s from 64 GB upwards, so this capacity is on the top tier. Worth knowing before you choose: the cheaper Dual Drive Go also reads at 400 MB/s at 128 GB, so at this size the Luxe premium buys the metal body rather than extra speed. SanDisk publishes no write speed, so we do not quote one.
All-metal body
SanDisk describes an all-metal casing — the clearest published difference from the Dual Drive Go, which weighs 3.5 g against this drive’s 12.2 g at identical dimensions.
USB-C and USB-A on one drive
A swivel body puts a USB Type-C plug at one end and full-size USB-A at the other, and covers whichever one is not in use. There is a keyring hole in the swivel.
128 GB of phone offload
Enough for roughly 30,000 to 40,000 phone photos, or around four hours of 4K video — our own estimate, since the real figure depends on your phone and its settings.

Singular Expert Insight
At 128 GB this is the best-built USB-C drive in our USB flash drives range rather than the fastest, because the cheaper Dual Drive Go matches it at 400 MB/s here. That makes the decision an honest one: pay the difference if the drive will live on a keyring and be knocked about, and save it if the drive lives in a laptop bag. Against the plain Ultra Dual Drive, which is 150 MB/s at every size, this is close to three times the read speed — a difference you notice on every phone offload. If what you need is more storage inside the phone rather than a drive to carry, look at our SD cards range instead, assuming your phone still has a slot.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want to move photos and 4K video between a USB-C phone and a computer quickly, with plenty of room, and you want a metal drive that will survive a keyring.
Skip it if
You have a Lightning iPhone, or you are choosing on speed alone — at this capacity the cheaper Dual Drive Go is just as fast.
Also consider
SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Go 128GB for the same 400 MB/s without the metal body, or the SanDisk Ultra Luxe if the drive only ever meets computers.
