SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive m3.0 32 GB — USB-A and micro-USB, for Older Android Phones
32 GBUSB-A + micro-USBUp to 130 MB/s read5 g, retractable
The SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive m3.0 is a 32 GB USB 3.0 flash drive with a full-size USB-A plug at one end and a micro-USB plug at the other. It was built for the generation of Android phones and tablets that used micro-USB ports, and at 5 g with a retractable body it is one of the smallest dual-connector drives SanDisk has made. SanDisk publishes read speeds of up to 130 MB/s. Read the compatibility note before you order — the micro-USB end is the whole story here.
Compatibility — check before buying:
???? The small connector on this drive is micro-USB, not USB-C. It will not fit an iPhone, and it will not fit any Android phone or tablet made in the last several years — those use USB-C. No adapter is supplied. Buy this only if the device you want to plug into genuinely has a micro-USB port and supports USB On-The-Go. The near-identically named SanDisk drives that DO have USB-C are the SDDDC2, SDDDC3 and SDDDC4 — one or two characters different in the part number, and all of them fit a modern phone. Confusingly, SanDisk uses the same m3.0 name for its USB-C model as well, and even puts “m30” in that model’s web address, so the name alone will not save you: check for the letter C after SDDD. That is the reliable test.
Best For
✓ Older Android phones and tablets that still have a micro-USB port
✓ Devices such as older tablets, e-readers or dashcams with micro-USB and OTG support
✓ Freeing space on a micro-USB phone without a cloud account
✓ Keeping a small drive with you — 5 g and retractable, nothing to lose
✓ Anyone replacing a drive that already works with their micro-USB device
✓ A cheap way to move photos off a legacy handset before retiring it
Key Features
Two connectors, 5 grams
USB-A at one end, micro-USB at the other, in a body that weighs 5 g and measures roughly 30 x 25 x 12 mm. It is the lightest way SanDisk offered to bridge a micro-USB phone and a computer.
Retractable, no cap
The connector retracts into the housing rather than hiding under a cap, so there is nothing separate to lose.
Up to 130 MB/s read
SanDisk publishes this figure on both its current product page and its datasheet. It is comfortable for reading documents, photographs and video off the drive.
SanDisk Memory Zone app
A free Android app for managing files and moving them between the phone and the drive. It is a download, not something supplied on the drive, and the drive works without it.

Singular Expert Insight
This drive exists for one job: bridging a micro-USB Android device and a computer. If that is your situation it does the job in 5 grams with nothing to lose and a five-year manufacturer term behind it. If it is not your situation, this is the wrong product and the name will not warn you — SanDisk sells USB-C drives under almost the same name, and the difference is a single letter in the part number. That is why the warning sits at the top of this page rather than buried in the specification. If your phone is USB-C, look at the dual-ended models in our USB flash drives range instead and we will point you at the right one. For large working files rather than files you carry, an external SSD is the right class of product.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
Your phone, tablet or device has a micro-USB port and supports USB On-The-Go, and you want a 5 g drive that bridges it to a computer with a 5-year SanDisk term.
Skip it if
Your phone is USB-C or an iPhone — this connector will not fit and no adapter is included. Or you need more than 32 GB.
Also consider
SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Go SDDDC3 or Ultra Dual Drive Luxe SDDDC4 if your phone is USB-C. The 64 GB SDDD3 if you need more room on a micro-USB device. Any USB-A only drive if you never need to reach a phone.
