SanDisk Ultra 128 GB USB 3.0 — Black
Up to 130 MB/s read128 GBUSB 3.0 Type-ARetractable slider
The SanDisk Ultra is a 128 GB USB 3.0 flash drive in Black, part number SDCZ48-128G-U46. SanDisk rates it at up to 130 MB/s read, so a folder of photos or a couple of films move across in a fraction of the time a USB 2.0 stick would take. The connector slides into the body when you are done, so there is no cap to lose. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This is a USB-A drive. It will not plug into a phone or a tablet, and a USB-C-only laptop needs an adapter or hub. You need a USB 3.0 (blue) port to see the full 130 MB/s — it still works in an older USB 2.0 socket, but at USB 2.0 speed. SanDisk offers optional password software as a separate download for Windows and macOS; nothing is installed on the drive.
Best For
✓ Moving large photo folders, video files and project archives
✓ An everyday work drive that is noticeably quicker than a cheap USB 2.0 stick
✓ Carrying installers, virtual machines or design files between machines
✓ Loading media onto a TV, projector or car stereo with a USB-A socket
✓ Backing up a laptop folder before a trip or a repair
✓ Anyone upgrading from a USB 2.0 drive who wants the same shape, faster
Key Features
Up to 130 MB/s read
SanDisk publishes a read speed of up to 130 MB/s for this drive, and it is the same figure at every capacity in the range — a bigger Ultra is not a faster Ultra, just a roomier one. SanDisk does not publish a write speed, so we do not quote one.
Retractable connector
The plug slides into the housing when it is not in use. No cap to lose and no exposed contacts in a bag or a pocket.
Optional password protection
SanDisk offers password software as a free download for Windows and macOS. It is optional, it is not preinstalled, and the drive works perfectly well as ordinary storage without it.
128 GB with room to work
Enough for 30,000 to 40,000 phone photos, or around thirty hours of 1080p video. That is our own estimate — the real figure depends on your camera and its settings.

Singular Expert Insight
The Ultra is the sensible middle of SanDisk’s USB flash drives range: several times quicker than a Cruzer Blade or Glide, and much cheaper than the metal-bodied drives. Two things are worth knowing before you choose. First, its 130 MB/s is flat across capacities, so buy the size you need rather than paying up for speed you will not get. Second, if you want genuinely fast, the Ultra Luxe at 128GB and above reads at up to 400 MB/s — three times this drive — for a modest premium. If the files are actually bound for a camera or a dashcam, a card from our SD cards range is the right product instead.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want a straightforward 128 GB USB 3.0 stick that is much faster than a USB 2.0 drive, with a retractable connector and no cap to lose.
Skip it if
You need top speed for large video work, your laptop has only USB-C sockets, or you want to plug the drive into a phone.
Also consider
SanDisk Ultra Flair for a metal body at 150 MB/s, SanDisk Ultra Luxe 128GB for up to 400 MB/s, or a SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Go if the drive also has to work with a USB-C phone.
